I’m a nontraditional student majoring in Multimedia Performing Arts at Lehman College in the Bronx, where I’ve maintained a 3.98 GPA. Alongside my performance training, I am completing coursework in speech language pathology with the goal of becoming a practicing SLP who integrates the arts into therapeutic and community based practice.
As an actor, I’m drawn to stage and screen projects that inspire empathy and reflection. I devise multimedia performances that unite storytelling, film, and movement to connect people across experiences. I believe art should be accessible to everyone, not only as an audience member but as a means of self-expression and discovery, especially for the marginalized and disabled.
Beyond performance, I have a long history of healthcare volunteer work and arts outreach. I co-founded Elders of Parkchester, an intergenerational arts initiative that invited senior residents to share their life stories through visual art and storytelling, culminating in a public exhibition and book. I also volunteered in multiple hospital settings, where I learned how compassion and feeling heard can comfort and empower vulnerable populations.
Looking ahead, I hope to support elders living with aphasia and speech disorders so they can continue to communicate and participate in daily life. I plan to do this by establishing a community theatre program for seniors in low-income neighborhoods, helping the aging population tell their stories, overcome speech challenges, stay active, and ward off loneliness.
