Bio

I am a third-year undergraduate student and Cornelius Vanderbilt Scholar at Vanderbilt University’s Blair School of Music, where I study with Dr. Peter Kolkay. At Blair, I play in ensembles and organizations such as the Vanderbilt University Orchestra, the Vanderbilt Wind Symphony, the New Music Society, and the Kleine Wind Quintet. I was recently named a finalist in the 2025 Meg Quigley Vivaldi Competition and was the 2024 winner of the MTNA Tennessee Woodwind Young Artist Competition. As a session musician in Nashville, I have recorded music for projects with Disney and Sony and can be heard on movie, TV, and video game soundtracks such as Destiny 2. In addition to performing, I enjoy working with audio technology and have produced numerous solo projects featuring multitrack recording and electroacoustic live performance. At Vanderbilt, I was honored to receive the 2023 Dave Darlington Award for Outstanding Creative Work in Music Technology. Beyond Nashville, I have performed at festivals across the United States, including the Madeline Island Chamber Music Festival, the Kinhaven Young Artist Seminar, the Bay View Wind Institute, the Imani Winds Chamber Music Festival, the Mostly Modern Festival, and the Akropolis Chamber Music Institute. I am originally from Plainfield, Illinois, where I began learning bassoon in the sixth grade. When I’m not playing bassoon or making reeds, I enjoy baking, watching movies, and going on walks with my family (including my dog, Junior)!
