Hi! My name is Cassi and I have never been a traditional student. From preschool to my (early) high school graduation, I have been enrolled in a total of 16 different schools and dual-credit programs across two states and 4 counties. Moving from one school to another has never been easy, but if given the chance, I would choose the same path again. My academic journey has enriched my understanding of the world and imparted knowledge that will continue to influence me for the rest of my life.
As a kid, I not only had a learning disability but also a chronic illness, which often left me bedridden. It was painful to watch as my peers enjoyed a typical school experience, but it proved to motivate me. Unlike many other students, who never had to fight to be educated, I truly valued school. I understood the importance of learning, and I loved it. My education has provided me with experiences and interactions that have made me passionate about social justice, interested in ancient history, and increased my desire to help and serve others. I aspire to advocate for those who lack a voice. I want to be someone who provokes change and causes ripples across the world. This is why I volunteer with nonprofit organizations and dedicate myself whole heartedly to everything that I do. I intend to learn all there is to learn and make the most of it. I will make my passion a reality and bring hope and help to those who need it. Thank you for taking the time to read about me and what I hope to accomplish!
