I am a recent university graduate pursuing law school in the fall of 2021. Upon reading Just Mercy, by Bryan Stevenson, in my sophomore year of undergrad, I changed my major to reflect my newfound passion for helping others with their legal struggles. I am a driven, pragmatic, charismatic, and empathetic leader and I hope to impact society positively after receiving my J.D.

I have struggled with disordered eating, body dysmorphia, anorexia, and intrusive thoughts for around a decade. These disorders had significantly impacted me throughout my undergraduate career and often impeded my education and social life. During my sophomore year, I sought therapy to improve my mental health. Slowly but surely, I ate more, abandoned detrimental food labels, and stopped counting calories. I was able to graduate Summa Cum Laude and with a much healthier relationship with food. My boldness stems from my perseverance and determination to create a better life for myself.
