My name is CJ Kaltwasser. I am a current Senior studying at Baylor University, majoring in studio art with a minor in Graphic Design. I am staying for a 5th year at Baylor to complete my BFA. I was born in Canada and moved to the United States when I was nine. My family all immigrated to Canada from South Africa in the 90s, and even today I feel like the Kaltwassers keep trailblazing and find themselves starting fresh in different countries. Some of my interests include drawing, camping, backpacking, hiking, and conservation. From a young age, my parents have always instilled in me the importance of working hard and focusing on a goal. I have been very fortunate to have a family that has supported me in pursuing my talents and goals all these years. I have always loved art and design, and I have discovered my passion and appreciation for it through the graphic design program at Baylor University. I love the design process and being able to incorporate outside ideas from my other studio classes. That is one thing that I do love about the Design program at Baylor. As a major in Studio Art, I have the pleasure of taking classes such as oil painting, lithography, ceramics, and sculpture. I have had many opportunities to apply the ideas and skills I learned in those classes to my projects in graphic design.
