Growing up, I have always wanted to care for others and help them in any way that I could. I would use my dolls as my patients and help them to overcome illnesses, wounds, and even talk to them about their problems. I feel that my life goals are to help individuals in need, especially babies and those who are elderly, as they are most vulnerable and need special tender, love, and care. I am most passionate about infants and children. My passion came about as I grew up always having smaller children and babies come to our house every weekend. It grew stronger as my Nana became ill and reverted to baby stages needing help with feeding, bathing, and more. It was like we had an infant or small child we were raising. After her death, I reflected on the time I spent talking, laughing, and caring for her and realized this was my calling, helping others. I feel that I am a great candidate because I am eager and willing to spread my wings and venture out, lending helping hands to all that are in need. This is why I volunteer, doing whatever needs to be done. Taking out the trash, cleaning toilets, changing diapers for the elderly, yard work, and more. It doesn't matter how dirty the job is, I am bold enough to complete it to support others. I further feel that I am a great candidate, because I am bold enough to stand up for what is right and become that advocate for those not having a voice to speak for themselves. Joining the Gay/Straight Alliance Club has given me many opportunities to support and unite everyone together, keeping hatred and bitterness from their hearts, and barring slanderous gossip from their lips. My boldness is so great, that it has made me the proud young lady that I am. I am ambitious enough to think and believe that one day, I too can work with others like myself, to make changes for all to live in a safe and caring world that teaches love and respect for others.
