Hello! I'm Camille. Currently, I'm a student at St. Monica Academy, but one day I hope to be a successful professional, wife, and mother. In school, I do my best to learn everything we're taught. My favorite subjects are math and literature. I enjoy playing volleyball, acting in school plays, singing in my school choir, reading, cooking, baking, being with friends and family, and spending time outdoors. Growing up in a first-generation immigrant household taught me that prayer, hard work, and doing things with love and integrity are the keys to success. Both of my parents work full-time to support my family and finance the education of my siblings and me. I hope to receive aid to remove this financial strain on my parents. I want to pursue a career as an accountant to serve the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. However, this will not be possible unless I receive financial help. I believe that I am a good candidate for aid because I am hardworking and responsible. I have maintained first honors for all of high school while balancing academic decathlon, plays, volleyball, and swim. As the eldest of three kids, I have learned how to negotiate, lead, and care for others. I was also selected to be a counselor at two different summer camps: Pathfinder, a week-long summer camp for young girls, and Long Beach Summer Camp, a church camp for underserved girls. If I receive aid, I will do my best to ensure that it is used well.
