I read books multiple times a month.
I’m a licensed cosmetologist and have been in the industry for 2 years and I love it. But, I do want to do continuous studies. I just stated fall 2024 of doing my generals to test the water. I love it so far and I want to continue! I want to get my degree in business and minor in communications. I come from a low income family and doors haven’t always been wide open for me. I’m the oldest sibling of three. I’m basically the second parent for my siblings since we grew up with a single mom. She’s a very hard working woman; but of course money is tight. I paid for all of my cosmetology school but I couldn’t of done without the help of scholarships and well my determination. I hope to be an inspiration for young Latin/hispanic/indigenous girls that look like like me or relate to me. That they can go beyond and are capable of doing more. Like working in male dominated industries. My goal is to one day pay forward all that my mom has done and help my community. I know that I have a bright future ahead of me and I will overcome challenges. I’m glad I have found resources like bold to help me and I can’t wait for what the future holds!
