Armstrong Family Legacy Scholarship for Future Ministry Leaders
My name is Callie Armstrong, and I am currently entering my senior year at Johnson University. I am majoring in Intercultural Studies with the long-term goal of serving as a cross-cultural missionary. Ever since my first mission trip to New Zealand in 2023, I have carried a deep sense of calling to dedicate my life to sharing the Gospel with people across the world. During that trip, God revealed to me in a powerful way the reality that many individuals and communities still have little to no access to the message of Christ’s love. This realization not only moved my heart but also shaped my vision for the future, giving me a passion for ministry that has continued to grow ever since. Since that initial experience, God has continued to provide me with opportunities to serve internationally and to deepen my understanding of cross-cultural ministry. I have had the privilege of completing two mission internships, one in Tanzania and one in Jamaica. In Tanzania, I learned firsthand about the challenges and blessings of communicating the Word of God in a culture vastly different from my own. I observed the importance of humility, patience, and a willingness to listen when seeking to share the Gospel in another cultural context. My time in Jamaica further broadened my perspective as I worked with children and families, seeing how faith and community come together in unique ways outside of the United States. Both experiences allowed me to step outside of my comfort zone, adapt to unfamiliar environments, and develop a greater appreciation for the diversity of God’s people. Johnson University has been instrumental in preparing me for this path. Through my coursework, I have been able to study Scripture in depth while also engaging with the study of world cultures, anthropology, and missions practices. My professors and peers have consistently challenged me to think critically about what it truly means to live out the Great Commission. Along the way, I have grown not only academically, but also spiritually and personally. These years of study and experience have affirmed my desire to pursue full-time ministry and have equipped me with tools that I know will serve me well in the future. As I look ahead to graduation, I am both humbled and excited. I do not know exactly where God will lead me, but I trust that He will use me for His glory. My prayer is that my life would be a reflection of His love and that, wherever I am sent, I would faithfully share the hope of Christ with others.

Online ADHD Diagnosis Mental Health Scholarship for Women
Living with ADHD has significantly influenced both my academic performance and personal life while attending college. Academically, ADHD presents challenges in maintaining sustained concentration, managing multiple assignments, and staying organized when deadlines overlap. At times, the fast pace of my thoughts can make it difficult to process information in an orderly manner, which occasionally results in procrastination or stress. Even in subjects I enjoy, I sometimes find it difficult to translate my ideas into structured work within the time constraints of an assignment. These challenges have required me to be intentional in developing strategies that allow me to succeed in the classroom while also maintaining balance in other areas of life. While ADHD creates obstacles, it has also given me unique strengths that have positively impacted my education and relationships. My energy, adaptability, and creativity often allow me to see problems from different perspectives and propose innovative solutions. In collaborative settings, such as group projects and ministry opportunities, I contribute by bringing enthusiasm and fresh ideas that help motivate others. Rather than viewing ADHD only as a limitation, I have come to see how it can also serve as an asset when managed effectively. These qualities are particularly meaningful as I prepare for a future in cross-cultural ministry, where flexibility and creative problem-solving are essential. Prioritizing my mental health is central to managing ADHD successfully. I rely on practical tools such as planners, reminders, and calendars to break large assignments into smaller, achievable steps. This prevents feelings of being overwhelmed and helps me remain consistent in completing my work. Regular exercise and journaling provide important outlets for stress, while prayer and time in Scripture give me clarity and perspective, reminding me that my worth is not defined by academic performance alone. I also place a high value on supportive relationships with family, friends, and mentors, whose encouragement and accountability are essential to my well-being. Although balancing mental health and academic demands is not without difficulty, ADHD has ultimately shaped me into a more disciplined, resilient, and empathetic individual. It has taught me the importance of self-awareness, asking for support when necessary, and creating intentional routines to foster success. These lessons extend beyond the classroom and influence the way I serve others and prepare for my vocational calling. By continuing to prioritize my mental health, I am confident that I will remain equipped to thrive academically and personally while pursuing my long-term goals.
    Lewis Ohana Scholarship
Receiving this scholarship would greatly ease the financial burden of my senior year at Johnson University and allow me to focus fully on my studies and ministry preparation. As an Intercultural Studies major, I am enrolled in courses such as Cultural Anthropology, Globalization and the Gospel, and Strategies for Cross-Cultural Ministry. Each of these classes equips me with the biblical foundation and practical knowledge I need to serve effectively in cross-cultural settings. In addition, Johnson offers opportunities for field experience and cross-cultural engagement that I hope to take part in during my final year. Financial support would relieve the stress of covering tuition and living expenses, enabling me to dedicate my energy to these programs, internships, and spiritual development. By receiving this scholarship, I would be able to complete my degree with greater confidence and continue preparing for a life of service as a missionary. One of the challenges I have faced has been learning how to pursue higher education while navigating the financial strain that comes with it. I was homeschooled through my early education, and while this gave me a strong foundation in independence and discipline, it also meant that my family had to make sacrifices to ensure I could pursue dual enrollment courses at Blue Ridge Community College. By the time I graduated with my associate’s degree, I had already learned the importance of perseverance and making the most of limited resources. Continuing on to Johnson University required me to step out in faith, trusting that God would provide through hard work, scholarships, and the support of others. These experiences have shaped my educational aspirations by instilling in me both resilience and gratitude. I know that pursuing higher education is not something to take for granted, and each challenge I have overcome has deepened my commitment to use my education to serve others. In five years, I envision myself serving as a cross-cultural missionary, living and working among a community where the Gospel is not widely known. My desire is to build relationships, share the hope of Christ, and encourage local believers in their faith. I hope to partner with mission organizations that emphasize long-term discipleship, community development, and cultural sensitivity. Beyond ministry, I also see myself continuing to grow personally, developing greater cultural adaptability, deepening my understanding of Scripture, and pursuing ongoing language and cultural studies to better serve the people I work with. Within my own community, whether in the United States or abroad, I want to be a source of encouragement and an example of faithful obedience to God’s call. My ultimate goal is that my education, experiences, and future ministry would all bring glory to God and contribute to the advancement of His kingdom.
