As I am someone who has been through a lot since I was young and am described as smart by many people, I agree with both of those statements.
It is due to both of these things that I have found my purpose in life. In short: helping people is why I am alive. I have a knack for recognizing patterns. My experiences and my knowledge (as well as a willingness to learn and passion) keep me going.
Currently, I'm on a break from the University of Maryland Global Campus to heal from some recent developments and build better habits.
I had foot surgery due to a birth defect in February 2021 and had hardware removal in March 2022. After following my own suspicions, I was professionally diagnosed with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder in December 2021.
Figuring these out at twenty-six, and having a plethora of other experiences, has led me to psychology as a career path. I hope to someday use my knowledge and experience to encourage self-advocacy and advocate for other disabled people. I can be quite a calming and helpful force to those that need it, as well as a strong powerhouse when I need to be.
As for hobbies and general interests, I am rather chaotic. I often jump from one hobby to another and then back around again. Learning and wanting to learn are definitely my most consistent of hobbies. I love reading but have trouble reading. I would love to read more. I love horror movies and TV. I love psychologically analyzing the characters and noticing common archetypes. I'm also interested in how they do the practical effects. Additionally, I collect stuffed animals and vinyls.
