My background has without a doubt shaped my perspectives. I have grown up in a supportive family my entire life. Both of my parents have emphasized learning integrity, humility, and respect. Volunteering and interning locally has opened my eyes to diverse cultures and viewpoints, giving me a desire to promote inclusivity. During college, I envision my identity contributing positively to the university community. I am excited to connect with fellow students from various backgrounds and discuss new topics that enlighten me. My experiences have taught me that you must have a commitment to listening and learning, which I believe is essential in a college setting. I am also passionate about the state of the world environmentally and I know college will be a good place to explore initiatives. By sharing my perspectives with others from different backgrounds, I aim to spark conversations that can further knowledge and understanding amongst all people.
