I'm a 35 year old adult learner who's going back to college for two reasons: I finally found my passion in life and my small business was decimated by COVID. I have always been interested in helping others but didn't have a good idea how I could use my skills and ambitions to do so. After I lost my best friend to suicide stemming from depression and watching my father battle depression for over 25 years, I decided that I want to learn more about mental health and how to help those struggling.
I married my wife in 2007, which is the same year we started our photography business. Because of our desire to travel and learn about other cultures, we've moved our business from Arkansas to New York City to France and now back to New York City. Since our photography business primarily consists of weddings and travel, Covid-19 forced me to re-examine what I'd like to do.
