I appreciate learning new and fascinating information about child development. It allows me to connect my experience working for Head Start to the work that I am doing in school that will be going towards my Early Learning and Development Associates degree that will take me onwards to earning my Bachelor’s at a university. I work hard to serve the children that I care for in the classroom to the best of my ability as well as their families. Most families in a Head Start program are at or below the poverty line and go through many difficult situations that can affect how their children develop emotionally, mentally, and physically, so doing everything I can to support them is my overarching goal as a teacher. This job requires empathy just as much as it requires professional knowledge of child development.
