Hello bold.org donors! I am a 1L at SMU Dedman School of Law and am passionate about learning more about different areas of the law. As an Honors Scholar, my educational mission was focused on serving my community. I accomplished this by spending nearly 120 hours working with nonprofits, serving as a TA, completing an intensive Capstone research project centered on applied behavior analysis to discuss the struggles of the therapy method and to establish the need for successful intervention, and through the creation of new clubs. I focused on opening new doors for underserved communities, as I operated as a part of the Chapter Development Team for the Association of Black Psychologists (ABPsi) to assist in creating educational programs on the historical oppression of black psychologists within the psychology field. Our team also laid the groundwork for future scholars and practitioners to engage with psychological issues pertinent to the African Diaspora. Through my studies, I strive to uplift students of all backgrounds and I hope to continue this work through new avenues through my J.D., providing legal assistance for all those in need.
