I am a rising senior at Hillsdale College studying English literature. Hillsdale College's liberal arts curriculum aims to discover goodness, truth, and beauty through an examination of the Western tradition. Students complete classes in Great Books, history, theology, philosophy, U.S. Constitution, logic and rhetoric, the sciences, and many additional disciplines to achieve a more complete understanding of the world. My time as a student here has greatly impacted my perspective on both my life and my education. My studies as an English major allow me to ask timeless and universal questions about what it means to be human, challenging me to think creatively and critically. I strive to implement my knowledge from other classes into these conversations. Most importantly, my education at Hillsdale College has equipped me to be a life-long student after graduation and has cultivated my desire to do so. I am highly interested in attending graduate school in the future. In the meantime, I am cherishing the classes and the community that I am blessed with during my undergraduate years.
