When I was younger, my artistic aspirations were that of recognition and validation. I wanted to create art that would impress. Through the years, however, my art’s motivations and aspirations have grown. Rather than using it as a tool to prove my self-worth, my art became evidence in itself. Evidence that I had a purpose, that what I had to share meant something.
Rather than garnering fame, I hope to impact individuals that relate to my experiences. To reach people that have felt similar joys, sorrows, struggles, and triumphs that I have. I aspire to make art that helps people find their voices, the same way I found mine. I want my art to inspire creativity in kids, motivating them to chase their passions.
