I am currently in an ADN (nursing) program and I worked so hard to get in. I currently work part-time as a nurse tech at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in the isolation/telemetry unit. I am very motivated with my education and to have a stable career for my daughter and I. My long term goal is to be a RN with a BSN. In the future I aspire to attend DNP school to become a midwife and make an impact on labor and delivery.

To me, community means a group of people that come together and help each other out. I want to give back to my community by becoming a RN. Our local hospital in Everett, WA is short staffed and they need all the nurses they can get. I will be a RN in Spring 2023. I know I have to wait some time to help but I know in the future that they will still need nurses. I want to help rehab the public back to health and I also want to focus and use my nursing skills to educate the community. For example, from what a covid vaccine does to caring for a wound at home after discharge. I am a single mother and I am inspired everyday to be a role model for my daughter. She already wants to become a "mini nurse"so I know I have influenced her in a positive way already. My future plans is to earn my bachelors of science in nursing while working as a RN from my associate program at Everett Community College.
