All I have ever wanted to be was a teacher. Now, here I am living that dream. Although I have achieved that goal, I now want something more, something better. I want to be better. My first teaching job is in a low income setting on a Nebraska reservation. I love these kids like my own, my only problem is I need to be better for them. I want to learn all I can to be the best for them.

Community is one of the most important service to you and other. My mother was always making us help with different fundraisers when we were younger. At the time I was annoyed and bored most of the time. But, When I got to high school, I realized what it had done to me and others. I started to love volunteering. I would jump at any opportunity to help any way I could. I was on the student board for 4-H, a volunteer at the food stand for the summer ball games, an umpire when needed, but also a friend to all. In the summers I played softball full time. I didn't think I would be able to serve as much but, by the grace of God I was able to help with little kid softball camp and vacation bible school. In vacation bible school I really saw what serving the community can do. We were no longer doing it in an organization setting, we would going to people houses and simply asking "what could we do to help you?". This ranged from cleaning gutters to sipping tea and talking. To be involved in your community doesn't take big projects and big ideas, all you need is to be kind. I still serve the community I am in by being kind. Hauling salt down stairs for my elderly neighbors, scooping sidewalks full of snow, or letting the person behind me cut in line at the store. Community serves is never complete and the more involved you are the better it is.
