Hello! I am Brianna Reynoso, and I recently became a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS). From a young age, I knew I wanted to work in the health field. In high school, I had the opportunity to become a Certified Nursing Assistant because of the program I was in. At first, I wanted to become a NICU Nurse, but now I'm going to school to become a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. Throughout my life, I have been passionate about helping others in any situation as long as I could do it. My goal is to graduate from the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program and start working at an office or clinic right away as a sonographer. Eventually, I want to open my own office where low-income people can get ultrasounds done at a lower price because their health is also essential. After a few years of running my office, I would like to do Pro-Bono work once a month if I can. Recently, I got over the fear of failing or not making any sales and found the courage to start my own small business online. My brand is called Naturez Crown and I am selling hair oil that I made myself. TikTok and Instgram @naturez.crown

From a young age, I knew that I wanted to work in the healthcare field. At first, I dreamed of becoming a neonatal nurse or a pediatrician, but as I grew older, I realized these professions were not for me. However, one day, I discovered Diagnostic Medical Sonography and was instantly fascinated by it. After that, I knew I was meant to pursue this degree, especially when I kept meeting people in this career, and they were saying how they loved it so much. I want to be a part of a medical team where I can use my skills to detect a mass in a patient early on so that the doctor can provide the best possible care plan for them or be the first one to detect a fetus in a woman who has been struggling to get pregnant for years knowing that she will be overjoyed. I hope to make a positive impact on every one of my patients, seeing how I am a stepping stone to diagnosing what is going on inside their bodies. I want to be a friendly face they see that washes a sense of calmness over them, even if it is only for a few minutes, as so many scenarios can be running through their head about their health until they get the results from the doctor. By thoroughly performing the scanning protocols I was requested to do and writing a well-done report for the doctor, I will be playing a role in enhancing the patient's life with the care plan they will receive. In the future, I aspire to open my own diagnostic center that caters mainly to low-income women but welcomes everyone from all backgrounds. I have seen firsthand how women's health needs are often overlooked and ignored, and it is not right. Being a woman in the healthcare field, I understand the importance of women's health and believe that we all deserve the best care, regardless of our financial status or race. By starting my own center, I plan to provide high-quality care to all and aim to lower the cost of ultrasounds so that low-income individuals do not have to compromise on their health due to the burden of medical bills. With the knowledge and experience I gained in school and at different clinical sites, I am ecstatic to graduate next year. When introducing myself at clinicals, some patients would say "I am happy to be your guinea pig, learn and scan as much as you can," and I appreciated them because I made mistakes but I was able to learn and grow in my skills at the end. In pursuing my passion for Diagnostic Medical Sonography and my vision for the future, I am committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of others and contributing positively to the healthcare field.

Hello, my name is Brianna, and I am passionate about making a difference in the healthcare field through diagnostic medical sonography. Currently, I am pursuing a career in this field while also running my own business selling all-natural hair oils called Naturez Crown. On a typical Saturday, after finishing our homework, the den of our house transforms into a lively battleground of laughter and excitement. Our Nintendo DS is open as we wait for our devices to connect to Mario Kart. My brother, sister, cousin, and I were going back and forth with each other round after round to see who would come in first place. Whether racing through Rainbow Road or speeding past Peach's Castle, my go-to character was always Yoshi or Princess Peach. We were so competitive when it came to Mario Kart. The den echoed with our shouts of triumph or groans of defeat as we navigated the twists and turns of each track. I remember whenever I got first place, I would sing and dance around that I won, and they would do the same in return when they won. Recently, I found my Nintendo DSi, and nostalgia hit me when I saw that Mario Kart was in it. Turning on the game, I was flooded with the happy memories of my childhood, transporting me back to those carefree days spent racing against my loved ones. I sat and played the game for a while, but it was not the same playing with the NPCs instead of my family. To this day, Mario Kart remains more than just a game; it's a cherished tradition that brings people together. One day, I want to buy the latest Nintendo device with the Mario Kart game so I can invite family and friends over and create joyful memories while racing each other.

Almost a year had passed since my beloved dog, Beauty, went to doggy Heaven. One day, I noticed a stray cat with similar fur colors to my dog outside my house, and I decided to feed her, thinking she would eventually leave. One thing led to another, and she never left, so we named her Momo. Momo is the mother of my two cats, who, at the time, we did not know was pregnant until we noticed her stomach was vast, and my friend confirmed our suspicions. Momo gave birth to her first litter of 5 beautiful kittens in February of 2022. As the kittens got older, we gave them away to family and friends, and we were left with two, so we decided to keep them both. Sadly, unbeknownst to us, Momo was pregnant again with her second litter and passed away a few days after giving birth, but we were able to rescue the kittens and took them to the Animal Humane Society so they could have a fighting chance to survive. Coco and Sheba have completely opposite personalities, but I love them the same with all my heart. Coco does not know the definition of personal space; she loves to cuddle and would attach herself to anyone I know if she could. On the other hand, Sheba loves her space and prefers to be left alone unless she decides she wants some rubs or attention at that moment. After my dog Beauty had passed away, I did not think I would get another pet that fast, especially a cat. My parents planned to eventually get another dog, but instead, we were blessed with two cats. On days I decide to go outside and stretch, Coco and Sheba love to join me by lying on my yoga mat and watching the birds, and sometimes Coco likes to climb on me during certain poses. Whenever I feel down or stressed out, Coco and Sheba are always there to cheer me up with their antics, and purr that negative energy out of me with their cuteness and love. I even took them on a road trip to Orlando, and that was quite an eventful experience. That trip was the day I found out Coco gets car sick, and Sheba loves to stare out the window watching her surroundings. Coco even reminds me of Beauty at times because their fur colors are similar, and she would do certain things, like sitting or lying on my feet, which Beauty used to do. I originally had my mind set on becoming a NICU nurse, but I discovered that nursing was not for me. After doing research and deciding what would be best for me, I decided to go to school to obtain an Associate Degree in Science for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Once I become a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, I will be performing ultrasound scans on patients, and my specialty can range from OB/GYN, vascular, abdomen, breast, cardiac, and more. As I continue my schooling in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, wanting to specialize in OB/GYN and breast ultrasound, I find myself driven to address obstacles that restrict access to essential healthcare services, particularly for those facing financial constraints. My dream job is to open my own ultrasound office filled with sonographers who have various specialties, where low-income people can get ultrasounds done at a reasonable price because their health is essential. After a few years of running my office, I would like to do pro bono work once a month if possible.

Breast health education holds importance for me. This passion is not just academic; it is personal. A family friend's battle with breast cancer has been an emotional journey that has shaped my perspective and intensified my dedication to improving breast health outcomes. Witnessing the emotional and physical toll of this experience has left an unforgettable mark on me. It showed me the importance of doing self-breast exams regularly to detect if any foreign mass is there from early on. As I continue my schooling in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, wanting to specialize in OB/GYN and breast ultrasound, I find myself driven to address obstacles that restrict access to essential healthcare services, particularly for those facing financial constraints. My vision extends beyond a career—it's a purpose to establish an ultrasound office dedicated to women's health, with a primary focus on serving the needs of low-income individuals. Annie Pringle's legacy of uplifting and supporting others resonates deeply with my aspirations, fueling my determination to contribute to the breast health community. In envisioning my future ultrasound office, I see more than just a diagnostic facility. Rather, it should be a haven where females of all financial backgrounds can obtain essential healthcare without feeling weighed down by expenses. This idea came from my belief that no one should ever have to think twice about their health because of the cost of a scan. As I progress in my education, I can't help but recognize the significant contribution of diagnostic imaging to early detection and preventative care. Through my studies, I am acquiring the skills and knowledge necessary to be a compassionate and proficient healthcare professional. Opening a women's health-focused ultrasound office is my way of bridging this accessibility gap. I picture a place that provides high-quality care to women from all backgrounds while promoting inclusivity and empowerment. Through affordable and comprehensive ultrasound services, I aspire to contribute to the mission of promoting women's health and well-being. Breast health is not just about addressing illnesses when they arise; it's about proactive education and preventive care. Through my journey, I aim to contribute to this aspect by promoting awareness and advocating for regular screenings. Early detection, after all, is a powerful tool in the fight against breast-related concerns. The breast health community has lost influential figures like Annie Pringle, whose legacy continues through initiatives like this scholarship. This scholarship, to me, is not just a financial aid opportunity. It represents an investment in a future where every woman, regardless of her economic background, has the opportunity to prioritize her health without compromise. For me, learning about breast health is more than just receiving information; it's a commitment to the future and an experience I'm witnessing. Through my journey in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, I aspire to represent the principles of empathy, accessibility, and advocacy that I believe define Annie Pringle's legacy. With this scholarship, I hope to help pay for my schooling which will eventually lead to my dream of a women's health-focused ultrasound office, ensuring that every woman has the opportunity to receive the care she deserves.

Beauty was a smart, stubborn, loveable fur ball who protected her household. I got Beauty at a very young age, and she lived a long 16 years. She was a German Shepard mixed with Chow Chow and was my best friend since day one. She would try to comfort me when I was sad, make me laugh with all the things she would do, always tried to sit or lay on my feet, and in return, received a whole lot of love, treats, and rubs. Beauty was part of our family, and my parents treated her exactly how they treated us; at times, we would say she was human in her past life with certain things she did. When she passed away, it was like a gaping hole in my chest. I felt like my dog would live forever, and when she left for doggy heaven, it changed my view on life. I decided that I can not take life for granted and should live it to my fullest potential. I realized that all animals deserve the same love I once gave to my dog. I love interacting with my family and friends’ animals when I get the chance. I eventually got over my fear of cats and even took in two stray kittens. One of the kittens reminds me of Beauty, and I feel like it could be her reincarnated, seeing how their fur colors are so similar, and she loves to sit or lay on my feet too. Her death taught me that I may be in pain for a while, but I will survive and get through it. She led my family and me through many adventures, and I will cherish those memories. My dog changed my life for the better, and I will miss her always.

Healthy living to me is eating the right things, using natural products, exercising, and taking care of your mental state. I have been committed to living a healthy lifestyle since I was young. I grew up in a household where my parents would make us take natural remedies and vitamins when we were sick, instead of over-the-counter medicine. Years ago, I would ask my mom to take me to the nutrition store so I could get ingredients to make a natural deodorant and lip balm, but the results never came out well. Of course, there are times when I stray from my healthy lifestyle, but I eventually find my way back. Wellness is essential to me because we only have one body that we should protect like a rare flower, and if I can avoid any illnesses by keeping a healthy lifestyle, then that would be amazing. From the stress of being in school and handling the workload, I make sure to take care of my well-being so I do not spiral down. I started back working out, doing yoga, and drinking smoothies to maintain physical and mental wellness as a student. My health goals are to intake more fruits and vegetables, avoid junk food, get a stronger body, and ensure my mental health is good. I can intake more fruits and vegetables by drinking smoothies or pressed juice, and incorporating them into my meals. I stay away from junk food by having cooked food at home, eating fruits, and finding healthy snacks to eat. To achieve a stronger body, I plan on doing various workouts to target my whole body, Pilates, yoga, and roller skating outside. To achieve a wonderful mental state I like to do yoga, meditation, self-care, dancing, singing, affirmations, and working on coloring or activity books.

My Love For You..... Oh, Pasta! (Written By: Brianna Reynoso) Oh Pasta, my love for you is timeless, Who comes in multiple shapes and sizes, And the sauces leaving us in silence, With this dish feeling like many prizes. From the chicken to shrimp and broccoli, With the multiple garlic breads on reheat, You’re like Kevin Hart who found comedy, The perfect match for me to eat. Plus I can never get bored of you, Since you can always switch up the flavors, And my plate be clean like a brand new shoe, And I would never give you up for any favors. Oh pasta, until we meet again, My love for you would never drain.

My name has many different meanings. The meanings that I know of for my name are strong, high, noble, and ascend. Strong, high, and noble came from the Irish, while ascend came from the English. Originally I was named Rachel, meaning the one with purity, but that is not the name I am with now. When I was younger, I was told that my name was changed from Rachel to a character in a television show my mother was watching while she was in the hospital. My name is Brianna, and I like to believe that I was also named after my grandmother, whose name was Anna. I would not change my name because even though it is a common name, I believe the name Brianna suits me very well. I am also considered royalty because of my last name. The Reynoso surname originates from Spain and is derived from the Latin "Regis," meaning "royal." My name is important because it is a part of me, and it makes me who I am. Everyone's name holds power, it is our identity and helps mold us into who we are. When people hear my name, they love having me around because they know the type of person I am and the reputation I hold. Also, my name is a gateway to my past. My surname ties me to the history on my father's side. I might not know much or speak the language, but it helps me feel more connected to my family in the Dominican Republic.

Doing community service hours is one of the things I loved about school requirements. Once I had reached the required number of volunteer hours for school, I could have stopped, but I decided to keep going. From church to school to a nursing home and many more places, I would give my free time to help others, and it was always fun. As the quote states in Luke 12:48 "to whom much is given, much will be required,” and I believe that means since I have the time to give, I should be able to help others whether it is in the form of volunteering or in my future job. Throughout my life, I had done many different things when it comes to volunteering. At school, I helped with the hallway competition, it is when we put paper up on the walls to paint things based on the theme we got and decorate the ceilings and doors. Northshore hospital is where I would file papers, stock the supplies, answer phone calls, input data into the computer, and pass out cookies and juices to the patients in the Mother and Baby wing. At CAP, I would help feed the homeless and low-income people, paint murals, plant gardens, have a bake sale and clean up the neighborhood. At the nursing home, I would paint the residents’ nails, play games with them, read to them, and more things, but the part I loved the most was talking to the residents because they would have different stories to tell me and it would just bring a smile on their face, which made me happy. At Trinity Church Miami, I would help the kids with their school work, watch them during recess and aftercare, read to the younger children, fix snacks and lunch for them, supervise them on field trips, and assist them with their lines and dances for when they have a showcase. I also assisted the parents with checking out their kids. Once I get started in my career as a diagnostic medical sonographer and have years of experience, I am going to open my own ultrasound office to help others in need. Ultrasounds can be expensive, and I plan on making a positive impact on my community by lowering the price for low-income people because their health is important too, and they should not have to compromise their well-being because they cannot afford the cost. After a few years of running my business, I want to do Pro Bono work. I will pick one day for every month or two when my employees and I provide free ultrasound services to those who really need it and cannot afford it. I will advertise it for the people to come to my office, or I will go mobile and pick a location in a low-income area for them to meet us at.

My name is Brianna Reynoso. I am 20 years old and was born and raised in Miami, Florida. I graduated from high school in 2020 during the midst of Covid and started attending Miami Dade College that Fall semester. Some of my favorite things to do is hanging out with friends, roller skating, watching Netflix, and baking. I eventually want to learn how to dance or do cool tricks with skates on. When it comes to baking, I like to create things from scratch if I can; a few of the goodies I made were guava pastries, hazelnut chocolate croissants, chocolate chip cookies, sugar cookies, and banana bread with walnuts. My favorite quote is "Hakuna Matata" from the Lion King. To me, Lion King depicts that no matter what turmoils you go through in life, there is always a rainbow at the end as long as you believe and grow to where you need to be in life. Growing up, I always knew I wanted to work in the health field because I would try to take care of my family members and friends when they were sick or injured. In high school, I was in a medical program that let students become Certified Nursing Assistants and eventually become a Licensed Practical Nurse if they finish the program after graduation. During the program, my classmates and I did our clinicals at a nursing home. My experience at the nursing home led me to realize that nursing is not the right path for me, and I am glad I had the opportunity to discover this in high school and not college. If you are going to college DO NOT take early morning classes unless you have no choice. Waking up early to go to high school feels totally different than waking up early for college classes. I had one early morning class and regretted it. I recommend taking classes that start at 10 am and after. IG @_xox.brii

"Hakuna Matata! What a wonderful phrase. Hakuna Matata! Ain't no passing craze… It means no worries for the rest of your days, it's our problem-free, philosophy, Hakuna Matata!" How can Simba not be my favorite Disney character between all the movies and soundtracks? To this day, I compare the hair on my head to Simba's mane, and people agree. When I was younger, I loved when I got to put my Lion King sheets on the bed and got to sleep with Timon, Pumbaa, and Simba. I eventually got a Simba stuffed animal, along with Nala and Winnie the Pooh. I drew a picture of Simba and Nala last October, and I swear you can see their love for each other in it. I will say Simba is my favorite because he went through many hardships in his life, from thinking he killed his father and running away from home. Still, in the end, he fought for the crown that was rightfully his against his uncle, and he won, plus he had the strong and beautiful Nala at his side to become his wife and queen of Pride Rock. To me, Lion King depicts that no matter what turmoils you go through in life, there is always a rainbow at the end as long as you believe and grow to where you need to be in life. Like my favorite quote, "Hakuna Matata," you should not worry about things that truly do not matter to you; it is better to live a life with no worries because you are happier and carefree when you do. I recently started living by that philosophy, and I can honestly say that I am happier by only caring about things that matter to me and not worrying about what others think. I use to stress about a lot of things going on around me and in life, but now I do not care because it does not pertain to me, and I believe everyone should follow the ways of Timon, Pumbaa, and Simba.

I decided that I can not take life for granted and should live it to my fullest potential. I realized that all animals deserve the same love I once gave to my dog. I love bonding with my family and friends’ dogs when I get the chance. I got over my fear of cats and even took in two stray kittens. One of the kittens reminds me of Beauty seeing how their fur colors are so similar. Her death taught me that I may be in pain for a while, but I will survive and get through it. She led my family and me through many adventures and I will cherish those memories. My dog changed my life for the better, and I will miss her always.
