Top Watch Newsletter Movie Fanatics Scholarship
If I had to pick just one movie to watch for the rest of my life (cue the dramatic drumroll), hands down, it would be "The Hunger Games"! I mean, seriously, talk about a rollercoaster of fun, drama, and a sprinkle of rebellion. Director Gary Ross and Suzanne Collins teamed up to give us a cinematic gem that's more addictive than a bag of popcorn on movie night.
Picture this: You've got Katniss Everdeen, played by the fabulous Jennifer Lawrence, taking center stage. She's not your average hero; she's a total game-changer! Katniss goes from reluctant tribute to full-blown symbol of rebellion, and I'm here for every second of it. J-Law brings such sass and depth to the character; it's like she's handing out awards for the coolest archer in Panem.
But hold on, it's not just about Katniss. It's about the whole shebang – the Capitol's crazy outfits, the districts' struggle for survival, and the epic love triangle that keeps us guessing. The visuals are so on point; it's like a futuristic fashion show meets a rebellion pep rally. Seriously, who wouldn't want a front-row seat to that?
Now, let's talk about the soundtrack because it's practically the heartbeat of the movie. James Newton Howard deserves a standing ovation for weaving tunes that hit you right in the feels. From the heart-pounding suspense to the tear-jerking moments, the music is the cherry on top of this cinematic sundae.
And the world-building! OMG, it's like stepping into a whole new universe. The Capitol's all glitz and glam, but the districts are the real MVPs with their grit and determination. The juxtaposition is like a visual feast for your eyes, and you'll find yourself getting lost in this dystopian wonderland.
But here's the thing – "The Hunger Games" is not just your average blockbuster. It's a conversation starter, a thought-provoker, and a rebel rouser. We're not just talking about surviving in the arena; we're talking about the real-life battles we face every day. It's like an action-packed therapy session with a side of popcorn.
And speaking of popcorn, can we talk about the sheer joy of settling in for a "Hunger Games" marathon? It's the kind of fun that keeps on giving. Whether you're rooting for Team Peeta, Team Gale, or Team "Can Katniss just do her thing without all this drama?" – there's never a dull moment.
So, why would I choose "The Hunger Games" as my one-and-only movie for the rest of my life? Because it's not just a movie; it's a mood. It's the friend you want to hang out with on a lazy Sunday, the adventure that never gets old, and the rebellious spirit that keeps life exciting. It's a timeless tale of sass, survival, and the ultimate girl power.
In a world full of movie options, "The Hunger Games" is the unicorn of entertainment – magical, iconic, and ready to sprinkle some fun into your cinematic journey. So grab your bow, channel your inner Katniss, and let the Hunger Games party begin! May the odds be ever in your favor!
Texas Women Empowerment Scholarship
Gender disparity is a major concern in Texas, particularly in the business world where women have been historically underrepresented. Given the increasing need for gender equity, it is crucial to understand why one may be motivated to confront this challenge and the impact one can make with a business administration degree and a future career in project management.
First and foremost, the most apparent reason why I am motivated to confront gender disparity in Texas is due to my personal experiences and the experiences of those dear to me. For instance, a woman who has faced workplace discrimination may be motivated to challenge gender disparity in order to help others avoid similar experiences. Additionally, one may be motivated to address gender disparity out of a sense of moral obligation or duty to promote equality.
Further, promoting gender equity in Texas can have numerous positive impacts on individuals and society as a whole. Through gender equity, there is an opportunity to create a more diverse and inclusive workforce, consequently improving performance in companies and the economy. Addressing gender imbalances can also make it possible for women to have the same career and leadership opportunities as men, which can improve not only their lives but that of their families as well.
Having a business administration degree can make it easier for one to confront gender disparity through project management. Project management is all about creating and executing strategic projects that lead to the achievement of specific goals. By harnessing their expertise in business administration and project management, individuals can help develop programs that address gender imbalances in the workplace.
For instance, project management can be used to create training programs for employees, highlighting the importance of gender equity and how it can be incorporated into existing processes and procedures within an organization. Additionally, individuals with a business administration degree and experience in project management can also work on building partnerships with local organizations to create advocacy campaigns that promote gender equality.
In conclusion, I would confront gender disparity in Texas are motivated either by personal reasons or a sense of duty. In contrast, the impact brought about by promoting gender equity is an opportunity to create a more inclusive and diverse workforce and improve societal welfare. With a business administration degree and a career in project management, I could make a significant difference in bridging the gender gap in Texas. Gender equity can only be achieved where all genders are valued, respected, and afforded equal opportunities.
3Wishes Women’s Empowerment Scholarship
Society can most effectively empower women by granting them with experiences and opportunities to expand beyond themselves. Whether this means empowering women to open businesses or travel the world and immerse themselves in a different culture is all dependent on the circumstances. Some things that need to be done to ensure these demands are met or funding and resources should be provided specifically for women. Consumers should be trying to help break the glass ceiling and the wage and gender gap as well and they should remain open minded when doing so because we live in a new and modern world we’re not everything looks as you might expect it!
Darryl Davis "Follow Your Heart" Scholarship
My mom has always encouraged me to follow my heart no matter the circumstances. She would constantly remind me that anything that will help define your life won't be easy but it will always be worth it .She tried her best to raise me to be both self sufficient and open minded to any advice or support from those around you . With that being said, my dream is to go to a four year university and obtain as much knowledge and experience as I can and lastly graduate with at least a masters degree in business administration. I feel like most people in my situation would not strive for dreams as big as mine but at this point my mom has sacrificed so much her whole life for me so I feel like I can’t truly afford to think small and waste this opportunity . I am very confident within myself and I take pride in saying that I want to be a successful africam american female first generation college student . I hope to show my mom and everyone else that her raising me as a single mother wasn't all for nothing. My unique background and cultural and social experiences growing up have made me focused on working hard to reach my potential . I can already be described as
conscientious, focused, driven and most of all compassionate. Above all what would make me most proud is if upon my graduation I was able to repay my mom for everything and show her how much I love her and that it’s her turn to depend on me . I want my younger family members to look up to me, and think, “if she went to college I can too .” I want to inspire others to follow their dreams and to give back to all those who poured into them and helped provide them with opportunities such as going to college . Majoring in business and furthering my education in categories like management, marketing, and administration will not only supply me with real-world experience in my prospective field of study to ensure my success upon graduation but it also provides me with enough financial stability to make my childhood dream of owning my own dance studio a reality. I developed this dream because I have always loved dancing . Although most would settle on just getting a dance degree the more thought I put into choosing my major I decided that Business administration was the way to go that way I could actually manage my studio and make choices on how my work , brand and name gets represented .
In conclusion, if I was awarded with this scholarship money it would enhance my future by granting me an opportunity that neither one of my parents or grandparents were able to take advantage of. I am eager to make everyone proud and to set an example for the rest of my family that it is ok to be a first-generation college student. I hope to one day
inspire others to pursue their dreams in spite of the circumstances even if it means they're the first in their family.
Carmen V McMillan Memorial Scholarship
I'm interested in cultural immersion and missionary because the more I learn and understand people, the better I understand myself and how or what I can contribute individually and likewise to a team.
I'd really like to study in or take a missionary trip to Spain. I believe that this experience will help me grow because it will allow me to learn Spanish. Because half of my family is Hispanic, I feel that learning Spanish would be a significant step for me. However, I haven't learned much about that culture or side of myself because most of my family has never had the opportunity to live in Mexico or experience that culture.
I also believe that becoming bilingual would be beneficial to my work since I would be able to earn more money in the future. Although to others it may be a tad excessive, to me this opportunity would be a true dream come true . To be able to tour the world is one of my current and ultimate ambitions! Right now, I'm starting college and, as much as I'd like to, I simply don't have the financial means to do so. I am a first-generation college student, so financing for college is already difficult, but I am confident that I have the talents, grades, and mindset required to study abroad and succeed! Overall I would the chance to give back to those around
Me and experiences different natural beauties the world has to offer .

My work ethic has been my best accomplishment . Now, I know most people would say there is when they win an award or receive recognition, but I don't consider those moments to be among my greatest accomplishments because if that is how success is judged, success would be definitive and failure catastrophic.
I choose my work ethic as my greatest achievement because you can have the best idea in the world but if you don't have a real work ethic to get it done, it's just a idea . year. I have repeatedly no matter the situation in a short time proven myself to be a dedicated, passionate, personable and responsible young woman but in the end it all circles back to my work ethic .
While I am very hard working and a motivation and inspiration to other students. I myself have to use my work ethic to overcome hardships in my classes and everyday life . While I strive to excel in all fields I mainly focus on feeding my passions so that I don't lose my drive. I have grown to be extremely good in academics and being passionate about everything I do . I wants to get the most out of my college career. I always taken care of her business when it comes to school. While in my classes, I excelled and I leave my personal mark on everything done by me . For example, when I would write papers for class, they are so well thought out and detailed. My teachers have testified that It is students like me that make them want to keep being an adjunct at my university. Whenever I was unsure of something, I would ask; whenever I needed help, I would ask. That is what makes me so special in my work ethic and willingness to succeed. I am very popular among the fellow students and know for being someone who is a very intelligent, hardworking, humble and with excellent leadership qualities. I has always shown interest in academics and always stood ahead in studies. I am a student who actively participates in the classroom discussions and always stand out to help my fellow students. In the end it my work ethic that has always spoken for me and shown others who I truly am before I ever opened my mouth and said a word .

I want to travel and study about everything there is to know about the world. Traveling, I believe, will educate me to view life as an adventure and to actually become the protagonist of my own story. More significantly, I believe that traveling will reveal me more clearly than ever how I can assist others on a larger scale. I want to travel so badly because looking around at my family's senior members, while they are all happy, they regret not seeing the world and dating themselves in their twenties. I've noticed that they all have one thing in common: the decisions they made when they were younger. While these decision's weren't the worst they also weren't the best because they weren't catered to themselves . They have assisted me in realizing the importance of spontaneity and building memories, as well as investing in myself. One day, when I am old, and I say this with conviction because I am learning that I am capable of anything great if I am willing to have the courage to pursue it, I want to look back and know that I did everything worthwhile and healthy that I desired .

Elevate Black Entrepreneurs Scholarship
Well to tell you my story I must begin with what motivates me ! Which is my passion for my community. I grew up around such strong women but one thing I have noticed is that they don’t have anything to leave behind & that’s something I wanna change. The single mothers and hard working independent women around me have made such an impact that I know I wanna own a business and leave a legacy when I’m gone ! I want this brand and business I create to give back to the community by helping other women find jobs and gain experience. Above all, I'd be most proud if I could serve as an example for future generations of entrepreneurs to look up to and believe to themselves, "If she can do it, so can I." I want to encourage others to pursue their aspirations and to repay those who have invested in them, and he has done just that. I am planning to start my own business as soon as possible and I am going to use all the money I have to develop the product . Which means I will use the money you guys grant me to invest in my business working product's marketing , inventory and scaling. I want to make sure that my business and brand empowers women and offers them opportunities to be involved and or gain jobs. So this grant money will be split up into percentages when spent. 50 percent for marketing because I feel that social media and packaging makes a huge deal in todays modern day society, 50 percent for inventory. With me being a first generation college student and college being so expansive I just have not gotten the chance to start this business but this something I really want . Some Unique Things that would separate me from other applicants applying for this money is who I am . My names Brianna Butler, I am currently an African American first generation college student attending Texas A&M University- Commerce . I will be a sophomore next semester who's proudly majoring in Business Administration and minoring in Finance . I am really excited to open my own business because I feel that I will learn invaluable lessons and make some lifelong memories and it will get me one step closer to financial stability . My unique background and cultural and social experiences growing up have made me focused on working hard to reach my potential .While this business is not the only thing I want to do in life I feel like it’s one of the most important because it’s creating something bigger than me . I wanna join the Air Force after college so ideally this business would be online and it would be able to function without me present & it would continue to grow and thrive .
