Bio

My entire life, the one thing that has constantly interested me was school. When it was time to pick what I wanted to do with my life, the first thing that came to mind was teaching. During the summer, I went to work with my father, a teacher, at an ESE specialty school. At my karate school, I taught little dragon classes, the little kid's classes. When I graduated high school, I had over 200 hours of community service hours. I'm currently pursuing a bachelor's and master's degree at Nova Southeastern University in their accelerated Program for education. I am working as a teacher assistant at the school I volunteered in high school. I am passionate and love where I work, and plan on continuing my education until I reach my goal of teaching.

Since I was a little girl, I have dreamed of being a teacher. One of my many memories growing up involved me playing in my living room with my stuffed animals and my dog pretending to be a teacher and teaching a class. I would write out my lesson plans and create storybooks for my students. Sometimes I would even use my homework from school as a lesson plan to teach my toys. I would spend hours after coming home from school in my living room playing teacher, as I used to call it. I always loved school and would even follow my dad around his school on bringing your kid to work day. Kids have been my passion for a long time I've been volunteering at schools since I was in 6th grade. My father would work summer school, and I would go with him as a way to get hours and have something productive to do during the summers. I would also teach classes at my karate school as a black belt. These things started as things I was either expected or had to do, but I ended up finding something so much more than that. My entire life I've been surrounded by kids, and it's only fueled my passion to teach. I'm currently in a three-plus one program, which is a bachelor's and a master’s degree together in a four-year program. Once I graduate in 2024, I will have a master's degree in Exceptional Student Education and a minor in Speech Pathology. I'm currently studying at Nova Southeastern University, and I am a part of the Fischer Academy of Education. Aside from school, I am currently working as a Teaching Assistant at an Exceptional Education school in Palm Beach County, Florida to gain more hands-on experience and help pay for my tuition. I am extremely hardworking and am doing everything I can to ensure I reach my goals of changing students' lives. My father started his career in Exceptional Student Education shortly after I was born, and I've watched him sacrifice and care for hundreds of kids in his classes. He inspires me every day not only to do my best at work but to care for the kids as if they were my own. I may not be a teacher, but as a teaching assistant, I have a responsibility to the kids I see for 6 hours a day to not only facilitated their education but to care for them and tend to their individual needs.
