Bio

I have moved from North Carolina to Texas to attend Lincoln Tech, studying in the electrical program. Over the last two years i have been working in the electrical trade and I have fallen in love with the trade and all of the processes of construction. I am very passionate about the electrical trade and the career that I have chosen to go into. I believe that the trades and blue collar work is the backbone of America and I am proud to be apart of that and using my own hands to construct and provide for our countries infrastucture.

      Track to the Trades
Out of highschool I went to a University and soon found out that it was not for me. I was lost, switching majors not having a clue of what I really wanted to do with my life. I felt like I was wasting my time and money. After my two years at the University I decided to take an electrician job over the summer and that is when I knew exactly wanted I wanted to do. I fell in love with construction and more specifically the electrical trade. I decided that I was going to drop out of my University and enroll into a trade school to chase my career in the electrical field. Being involved in the trades I soon realized how important it is to our society of our country. With all of the new technology that is coming out like AI a lot of peoples jobs and careers are in trouble for the foreseeable future, but not the trades. There is no technology that will ever be able to do the work that the tradesmen can do with their bare hands. The United States has spent over 146.2 Billion dollars alone over the last year, and who is hired to complete all of these projects? Tradesmen. I believe that tradesmen are truly the backbone of America. Between schools, businesses, hospitals, roadways, power plants, water systems for cities, and the oil industry just to name a few are all being held together by tradesmen. I am proud to know that I am apart of and will be in this industry that continues to build America and provide for the citizens of this country with more oppurtunities. Not only do the trades help other people in the community but it implements very important characteristics into the tradesmen themselves. A common theme among tradesmen is that they are disciplined, hard working, respectful, and giving. These traits directly coordinate to the families of these tradesmen and being important role models and father/mother figures to their children. I say this because this is how I view my father. He's the best role model I could have ever asked for and when I asked him about his values and how he got through the struggles of his life he directly coordinated it to working in the trades and all of the life and moral lessons he has learned and implemented into his own life over the years. All of these points that I have made come full circle back to me, including my values, beliefs, and striving to be the best at a career that I have fallen in love with. I am very grateful in having the oppurtunity to go to trade school and put myself in the best position possible to open new doorways in the trade and network to get my name out within the large world of electrical work building a reputation and name for myself. This scholarship would help me in finishing off my loans for my education so when I get back in the work force I can continue to work towards my future and building my career.
