I am a English major, Secondary Education minor and I plan on becoming a High School English teacher and potentially furthering my education later on to become a Collegiate level Professor. I've been through two years of college without collecting any student loans, only taking them out this year to help fund my education as I move away from home and attend a higher costing university. One of the main reasons I chose to pursue my degree in English and Secondary Education was because of my own experience with my High School English teacher, as he was such a positive impact on my life and education path, that I am was inspired to try and have the same impact on other students in the future, as their teacher. I love to read, write, and hope to make a positive impact on students in the future, because if I can help a future student in the same way that my former teachers helped me, it would all be worth it.
