Some of my life goals are to fulfill my dreams and aspirations. One of my top mantras is resilience. I believe in being able to surpass and succeed even through all of the obstacles that come my way. My dream job right now is to go to PA school. I want to become a PA to help others. I will care for the patient, have compassion for them and their loved ones, and strive to make a positive impact in everyone's lives. I am a very hardworking young lady and have come a long way in my first year as an undergratuate student at Saint Leo University. I have previously done a presentation for the Florida Association of Microbiology. I got first place on the I love FAS Leaderboard.

March 25, 2017. I was 14 years old and my best friend of many years suffered a life-altering car accident. That accident impacted many lives that day, including mine. At that moment of impact, my friend was projected out of the rear window. After all of the ambulances and chaos, he was airlifted to the nearest trauma hospital for children. Although the doctors said that there was almost no chance of survival, three years later he is still with us and healing. He is now wheelchair-bound, lives with the effects of a major traumatic brain injury, and has endured many surgeries. It was not until months after the accident when I was finally allowed to visit him in the hospital.
This disastrous event that happened on March 25th, 2017 has changed my whole perspective on life. I learned that life is not short and that we have to live every moment to the fullest. We have to cherish all of the good memories and not reside in the past. We have to be appreciative of the people that we have in our lives and for the things that we do have. Sadly many others do not have the luxuries or people in life like we do. The life lesson that I learned from this detrimental life-changing moment was to always try to be kind to one another because anything can happen to someone or something in a split second.
