I have attended St. Genevieve since preschool, and of course, I decided to continue my education journey at the high school because of the school community that makes me feel welcomed, safe, and connected to my environment. Attending this school allows me to be in a place where I feel I belong, and I feel constant support from the staff and my peers. The accepting school environment has inspired me to be a part of the leadership, such as being a Senior Leader and Ambassador for the school. In addition to being united to my community, this school has motivated me to connect deeply with my Catholic faith. With the academic opportunities that St. Genevieve provides, I have been motivated to pursue Psychology, specifically for children. I was further encouraged to work with children because early and middle childhood are crucial parts of a person’s development. I want to learn more about the significance of childhood development in human psychology. By pursuing these goals, not only am I learning about a subject that I’m passionate about, but I am also learning more about myself and how my childhood experiences have shaped me today.
