Hello! My name is Bray Boggs, and I am currently a student at the esteemed West Virginia Wesleyan College. On campus, I dedicate my time exclusively to academic pursuits as the social science courses require creativity, dynamic writing abilities, and strong reading comprehension of political theories. The political science major is an intellectually stimulating field, and I hope to be able to employ all learned knowledge and skills in my future vocations. At Wesleyan, I have nurtured relationships with fellow students, faculty, and staff in leadership positions that allow me to contribute to the energetic atmosphere of the college. I served as the president of the WVWC Student Senate - the college's student governing body - where I committed to using creative strategies and hearing student perspectives to improve the Wesleyan experience for all. In addition, I am a Student Ambassador, teacher's assistant for the first-year experience program, and a 2x class president. Off campus, I pride myself on staying connected with my Winfield community in Putnam County that invigorated me with such kindness and support throughout my upbringing. I am a sports enthusiast, and even while being a dual-sport athlete in high school, my interest has always been in officiating. Refereeing basketball and umpiring baseball allows me to play a role in the athletic development of younger players, gives me an outlet to give back to the competitive experiences that molded my childhood and adolescence, and strengthens communication and conflict-resolution skills.
