Crazy how my pets have saved and changed my life! I have gone through so many emotional changes at the start of the pandemic in 2020. Drastic changes such as the fact that 2 of my cats went missing in the beginning of 2020. I felt completely lost because my cats had been with me since 6th grade to the start of my college experience. The youngest cat that I had at the time, now the oldest, brought me so much happiness. How did my cat do this? Simple, cats and pets in general know how you feel, they sense something in their humans. Whenever I was sad I would sit in my room and my cat would come and curl into my lap, compared to other times whenever I was busy doing homework or just on my phone, he would just come in and turn around. Currently I now have 2 cats, the youngest I found him almost dying, very ill. Taking care of him when he was young was important for me and I felt as if I had another chance to be a better parent for my cats. I still don't know what happened to my other two cats at the start of 2020. That part is still a mystery and I hope to find out who it was that either took them because I know that they didn't escape from my house. Why do I love my pets? They are an important part of my life. They are part of me and I feel the necessity to help as many animals as I can. I feel sad whenever I see homeless cats and dogs outside wandering the streets and when I come back home and see both of my cats I make sure to hug them and it reminds me of all the happy times that we share.
