I am pursuing a career in speech-language pathology because of a deeply personal inspiration—my younger cousin, who was diagnosed with a rare genetic condition that affects her ability to communicate. Watching her face the world without a voice ignited my passion to become someone who helps others find theirs. As a future SLP, I aim to be an advocate for individuals who often go unheard, especially children with complex needs. I want to help them build confidence, access education, and feel seen. My goal is not only to provide therapy but also to foster understanding and inclusion within schools, homes, and communities. I’m excited to grow as both a clinician and a person—expanding my horizons academically, culturally, and professionally. I also plan to give back to my hometown community, offering accessible, compassionate care to families who need it most. For me, this journey is about more than a degree—it's about connection, service, and empowerment.
