NomineeBio
More often than not, I have felt unworthy, not beautiful enough, not smart enough, not confident enough, and just not enough. My ultimate life goal is to empower other women of color and help those who feel what I felt for most of my life to unlearn those self-inflicted lies. Society tells us that we must fit into a small-waisted, long-haired, small-footed, big-breasted, box. I want to defy those expectations and bring the minority women of the world along with me.
I‘m currently a writer/ghostwriter and an advocate who will one day become a local politician. I also have my media company in the works as well as a plan to open salons, restaurants, and hotels around the country.
I want to be more than just a business owner. I want to be able to sow the seeds of compassion, hope, respect, and peace into a community of women who were once deemed inferior and whose everyday struggles have and have continued to be trivialized.

More often than not, I have felt unworthy, not beautiful enough, not smart enough, not confident enough, and just not enough. My ultimate life goal is to empower other black women and help those who feel what I felt for most of my life to unlearn those self-inflicted lies. Society tells us that we must fit into a small-waisted, long-haired, small-footed, big-breasted, box. I want to defy those expectations and bring the black women of the world along with me. To me, being able to fix my sister’s crown and lift her spirits by building her up not only physically but mentally, spiritually, and emotionally is more important than anything.
I currently have a natural hair care line in the works as well as an attainable plan to open salons, restaurants, and hotels around the country. I am also a poetic writer, ghostwriter, and advocate who will one day become a local politician. Not only will I be an owner of lucrative businesses, but I will continue to pride myself on giving back to the community by introducing new and innovative resources for those without homes, starting a non-profit mentorship organization, funding education for minority students on all levels, and continuing to be a strong advocate within my community. To some, my goals may sound unattainable, or simply like dreams. However, I wholeheartedly believe that I can be the hands and feet that are needed to work toward and achieve each one of these things. With the support of my family, friends, and others in the community who believe in me and my dream, I do not doubt that these things will come to fruition.
I want to be more than just a business owner. I want to be able to sow the seeds of compassion, hope, respect, and peace into a community of women who were once deemed inferior and whose everyday struggles have and have continued to be trivialized.
Black women are beautiful, and they deserve to be treated as such. In every curl, in every coil, in every braid, there is power, there is strength, there is resilience, and there is tranquility. Black women must tend to their crowns and I will ensure that even though our crowns may slip, they will never fall. Not only will I tend to their crowns, but their minds and hearts. I will advocate for my women, and uplift every woman who enters my place of business or uses any of the products I produce. I have decided what my mark will be and I intend to make it with the strength and power that I have been graced with.
