I am on a quest for greatness. I have demonstrated excellence as a 13 year-old high school senior in spite of the stress of the current world crisis and limited access to teachers, including completion of dual credit classes at Dallas College to get a headstart towards a Ph.D. and taking courses on my own through Udemy and Coursera. I have been accepted by the University of Texas at Arlington-College of Engineering. Believe me, I can achieve whatever I put my mind to. My father died when I was 2. I have been without a male role model and low income since. I need access to mentors and scholarships to help me on my journey. I plan to continue as an entrepreneur in Culinary Arts, yet not limit myself to success in only this field. I also have a knack for strategy and computers, plus visual arts. While I am building my bistro, I will learn Computer Engineering so I can begin to understand the applications of artificial intelligence and the metaverse in the future. I do community service at food banks and with Alpha Phi Alpha, tutor, initiated an after-school reading program in my neighborhood, and developed my leadership skills through creating clubs and organizing events. I have been a member of the National Honor Society for years, earned the Soroptimist Award for achieving all A's, and led my school district to the state finals with Destination Imagination for the first time. These accomplishments are reassuring, still they are nothing without opportunity. I will keep trying and keep growing if you will please believe in me and help to give me the opportunity I need.
