Hello, my name is Bhavya Gireesh and my goal in life is to start a new beginning for myself and my family and grow to be young independent woman. My family had immigrated to the United States from India when I was quite young. But even after such endowing life changes the traditions and taboos which stopped my family from pursuing the things they loved still has the grasp on them. Maybe even more than the past as they were trying to preserve their culture in a new and unfamiliar world. grew up in a very traditional household and I want prove to my family and set forth a standard for the future generation of how you can be independent and successful as a young woman, even if it means breaking a few traditions. I want to be remembered as someone that brought both positive and dynamic change in my family and community, even if it may not be perceived as so now. Being stuck in a conservative mindset which adheres to the standards of the past hinders the talents and virtues that a person posses. I believe that taking a step towards it is the bravest thing you can do for yourself and others. As for my career I'm passionate about is healthcare for the the intimate bonds it builds between a patient and provider. After being sick for a year I came to appreciate all that provider does to make a patient comfortable. It made all the difference in a time of vulnerability, and I know I want to work such a career. My favorite hobbies includes making art along with cooking. it's one of biggest stress relievers I can think of, so it makes me quite happy just to spend my time away on it.
