NomineeBio
My name is Ben Stoll, and I am an educator based out of Vermont. I have recently completed my undergrad program where I studied Secondary Education, with a minor in Creative Writing. I am passionate about teaching students how to write poetry and prose, how to teach students to express themselves with their writing in new and inventive ways. To better my understanding of poetry, and to be a better teacher for my students, I am starting my Graduate Program at Arcadia University in Creative Writing. I am looking for financial aid to help pay for my education bills, so I can continue in the program and study what I am passionate about to both learn and to teach.

Barbie Dream House Scholarship
My very own Barbie Dream House would be nestled in the Green Mountains of Vermont, somewhere that I can wake up in the morning, and look down to see the Champlain Valley sprawling out below me. This Barbie house will smell of maple, I'll walk out onto my porch in the morning and I'll feel the crisp crackle of red and yellow leaves beneath my feet. This house will be adorned in autumn colors, like the leaves on its porch. The walls will be red, complementary to the Cherry Wood support beams that will hold the roof above my head. During Halloween, everything will smell of apple cider, and those support beams will be draped with take cobwebs. Those cobwebs will have plastic spiders embedded into them. If there should be any type of spider in a Barbie Dream House, it should be plastic ones. I want every wall to have windows, ones that nearly stretch up to the ceiling. I grew up with the blinds drawn across the windows, and I think for my own Barbie Dream house, that should be different. I want the sun to come through them, I want anyone curious enough to be able to look through into my House. What will this house look like? Easy, this house will look like home. My own Barbie Dream Home.
I Can Do Anything Scholarship
My dream version of my future self is someone who is a positive influence on the people around me, to serves my community through education and volunteering.
