Growing up with two older brothers who were obsessed with Lil Uzi Vert, I grew starstrucked by his music ever since elementary school. When Uzi had released one of his most essential albums in 2017, Luv Is Rage 2, my brothers had constantly replayed his biggest hits on the album, especially XO TOUR Llif3. Every morning I was awoken by my brothers blasting every single one of his songs like Sauce it Up, Canadian Goose, Money Longer, 7AM, and Sideline Watching. I remember attending school in 4th grade singing his lyrics and would receive weird looks as if I was psychotic for reciting the verse "all my friends are dead, push me to the edge." Although Lil Uzi's lyrics were certainly unusual for a young girl to be singing, I always loved his music no matter the controversy that was being spread. My admiration of his music had consistently grown as I began painting his album covers that I still currently have hung in my bedroom. Fast Forward to my junior year of high school and both of my brother's years in college, Uzi had dropped his most recent album, Pink Tape, which I believe will never compete against his older albums. My devotion towards this 5'4 rapper from Philly, began to fade as his songs did not hit the same as purple deadhead Uzi would have rapped. However, this belief completely changed as soon as my brothers surprised me with tickets to go to one of his concerts in Inglewood at the Kia Forum. I had spent the week prior listening to his entire set list, preparing for a moment that I had never thought I would experience. On November 16th, my brothers and I had made a 5 hour trip to Inglewood from Salinas, California to watch our most favorite artists perform. We had booked tickets at the closest seats possible to the stage because we know how crazy the mosh pit would be, especially with certain Uzi fans who are extremely hard-core. When we arrived at the stadium, I had bought a pink bandanna that is currently hung up in my room and waited two hours for Uzi to finally come out. As soon as Uzi had appeared on stage, I felt the young girl who fantasized about this moment felt revived in my body. The song that I sang my heart out to the most was The Way Life Goes as it's such a classic that can never get old. He had sung some of his songs from his Pink Tape album, but I was not expecting him to go off the set list and perform additional songs from his older albums. He had played a total of eight noteworthy songs that consisted of Sauce it Up, Myron, 7AM, Right Now, Scott and Ramona, Dark Queen, and Top. My most favorite memory was when he came off stage and made his way to the seats near me and gave a speech about how much he appreciated his fans. He then ended the night with a remarkable outro that left all his day one fans shocked and hyped. He had played one of his most famous Soundcloud leaks, Luv Scars, that left me with tears in my eyes. To this day, I still look back at the hundreds of videos that I took that night. Lil Uzi's Pink Tape Tour was the first concert I have ever attended and I'm forever grateful that I get to share this experience with the people who introduced me to this amazing artist.

As someone who is deeply passionate about pursuing a career in the medical field, one of my strongest motivations stems from the experiences I had with my mother's illness. In 2012, my world was shaken when my mother received the diagnosis of a chronic and potentially life-threatening disease. Witnessing her battle with breast cancer and several other immune problems as a young child had a profound impact on me. Despite being just a six-year-old in kindergarten at the time, I vividly remember seeing my mother weak and frail, confined to a hospital bed at Stanford Hospital. As a child, it was bewildering and upsetting not fully comprehending the gravity of her illness. My parents shielded me from the harsh realities of breast cancer, and it was difficult for me to grasp the extent of my mother's suffering. Witnessing her undergoing intensive treatments like chemotherapy while heavily medicated was emotionally challenging. However, throughout this tumultuous period, the medical staff at Stanford Hospital provided unwavering support, care, and hope to my family. The compassionate and dedicated doctors and nurses played an instrumental role in my mother's recovery, and I am forever grateful for their expertise and kindness. The nurses who specialized in caring for my mother during her courageous battle truly left an indelible impression on me. Their exceptional dedication, positive outlook, and ability to provide compassionate care in the face of adversity deeply inspired me. The profound impact they had on my family and I ignited a strong determination within me to pursue a career in the medical field. Their care and support not only nurtured my interest in medicine but also solidified my heartfelt desire to provide comfort and assistance to individuals facing similar health challenges. The exceptional care my mother received at Stanford Hospital served as a powerful catalyst, inspiring me to pursue a career in the medical field with the aim of bettering others' well-being. As a high school senior, I am dedicated to reaching my full potential by actively engaging in the healthcare community and participating in medical programs that will further my career aspirations. I have set substantial goals and remain committed to achieving success in my upcoming university education. The experience of witnessing my mother's unwavering fight for life, combined with the outstanding care provided by medical professionals, has deeply influenced my aspirations and instilled in me a profound sense of purpose to positively impact the lives of others.
