Becky Li is a current senior at Saugerties Senior High School, set to graduate in June of 2025. Her academic and research interests lie in STEM, particularly in biology, human anatomy, and psychology/neuroscience. She has participated in a variety of summer programs and internships to complement her curiosity within science, conducting independent research in trios at the Summer Science Program (Biochemistry) at Purdue University, the NextGen Neuroscience Exposure Program with Albany Medical College, and the Neuroscience Mentorship Program through sci-Mi. Her independent research investigates the shortcomings that are associated with the reconsolidation-extinction memory technique, which may be used in the future to treat patients with anxiety disorders. Becky is looking to pursue Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with a pre-medical track at Brown University in the fall. When she has free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, and playing tennis or badminton.
