Welcome to my Bold.org profile! My name is Baban Gill, and I am a rising senior at the University of Massachusetts Boston pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a minor in Psychology. I am passionate about healthcare, service, and lifelong learning. Through my academic, clinical, and professional experiences, I have cared for diverse patient populations across medical-surgical, cardiac, rehabilitation, maternity, and mental health settings. These experiences have strengthened my commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care and advocating for individuals from all backgrounds. Outside the classroom, I work as a Patient Care Associate at a major hospital in Boston on a high-acuity cardiac unit and have experience as a CNA in rehabilitation and long-term care settings. These roles have helped me develop strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills. Leadership and mentorship are central to my journey. I serve as Vice President of the Massachusetts Student Nurses Association (2026–27) and President of the SNA at UMass Boston (2026–27). I also work as a peer tutor and student nurse mentor, supporting students in academic and clinical development. I am especially interested in improving healthcare access, promoting health equity, and supporting underserved communities. As a first-generation college student and daughter of immigrant parents, I understand the value of perseverance, education, and giving back. My goal is to continue growing in healthcare while making meaningful impact through compassionate care, leadership, and advocacy. Thank you!
