Bold PointsBio
I'm currently a student at Weber State University working on my general's so that I may attain a Bachelor's degree by 2026. I'm very passionate about my family, community, and work environment. I love to be at work and see the difference I make to those around me that I teach, lead, and learn from. After all, the most successful teachers have learned just as much from their students. I have learned so many life lessons on how to be successful that a short paragraph just doesn't explain it. I feel like I would be a great candidate because I strive to do the very best in everything I do. No matter what the outcome is, I feel confident knowing something was learned that wasn't know before. I want to make a difference and help those around me. Understanding who they really are and what they mean to those around them.

Bold Know Yourself Scholarship
I have learned that I am capable of anything I put my mind to. Courage and motivation are incredibly important factors in your ability to accomplish anything. When you have the courage to stand up for yourself, you learn that you are willing to defend yourself and all that you stand for. This is so important because there is a big difference in the confidence level of those who truly know themselves and what they want and those who think they know themselves and what they want. They just project themselves in a wholly positive way that builds the confidence of those around them.
For me personally, I have learned that when I have the courage to release my ideas and not be afraid of rejection, the idea more often then not, is accepted and appreciated by those around me. Yes, there will be rejection, but how can there be success without failing. You can't learn without first making mistakes.
I still remember the first time someone encourage me to tell my idea. Last year I had this really extensive and detailed idea for how to decorate the gym for prom. Well I told one of my classmates, who is now the SBO secretary, and she convinced me that I should submit my idea for voting. Well, went he votes came in from the class, I found out that m idea was tied with another for the first spot and because they were so similar, she decided to combine them. Long story short, I got to design and help make the main stage for Junior prom and everyone loved the way it turned out. I learned to not be afraid of rejection from this experience because you never know what your ideas will become.
Bold Wisdom Scholarship
If I could share one sentence with the world it would be, to know you limits and push past them because you never know what you will learn next by leaving your comfort zone. I would choose this because I have only ever worked for one company for a little over 2 years and there are so many things that I have learned. I never would have seen myself as a leader for others and having this job has taught me that they do so much for the world that we don't see. The only way to become a good leader is to push past your limits and remember that you can accomplish anything.
I was a super shy 16 year old when I was first hired. I was so afraid to talk to any customers and have to memorize so many different food things. However, now I'm a Team Lead and teaching others the value of hard work, discipline, patience, and attitude in the workplace. Things won't always go the way you want them to but if you have a good attitude it will spread to those around you and make the environment a completely different place that everyone wants to be in.
I have learned so much from my peers because they were willing to push past their comfort zones too. If they hadn't been able to do that, I would not be the person that I am today. When limits and pressed, we discover ourselves and what makes us who we are and why we do the things we do.
Bold Happiness Scholarship
I find that drawing and using my creativity in the things around me makes me the happiest. I have always enjoyed designing, drawing, and just being creative in general. Blending shades and focusing on the minor details seems to be something that I awlays find my self doing while drawing. I love to expiriement and test my abilites in shading and blending and trying out new pencils. Most of the time I have to use a reference such as a building but I spend hours working on these drawings and the end result, to me is always worth it. I get to show my creative side inside a little artbook and maybe to others but for me it just reminds me that I can accomplish anything that I set my mind to. I have found that if I take the time to to enjoy these small activities my day is better and I'm just happier and more motivated throughout the day.
Finding out twhat motivates and makes me happy, has lead to me fiding the right career choice. I have chosen to further my education and get a bachelor's degree in interior design after extensive reasearch. This would not have been possible if I didn't know that being creative and artsy makes me happy. Although, the constant room cleaning and rearanging also gave away how much I really do like designing things in the home.
