Bio

Currently a student in the Master of Environmental Management program at Duke University with a dual concentration in Coastal and Marine Systems & Environmental Analytics and Modeling, additionally pursuing a Certificate of Geospatial Analysis. Masters project focusing on using integrated remote sensing to study the impacts of glacial change in Glacier Bay National Park through analysis of chromaticity and seal-ice dynamics. Also conducting an independent study project using machine learning models to identify humpback whales from high resolution satellite data off the Antarctic Peninsula. Now working as a Conservation Advancement Associate at the Park Institute of America, creating funding and grant proposal materials to engage donors and partner organizations. Also working as a Digitization Intern for the Duke Marine Lab Library to document, preserve, and make accessible one-of-a-kind historical marine research and resources. In May 2024, graduated summa cum laude from Boston College with a B.A. in Sociology and minors in Environmental Studies, International Studies, and Hispanic Studies. During undergraduate years, conducted and assisted research in Argentina, Ecuador, Malawi, Spain, the Irminger Sea, and Antarctica on climate change, marine biology, physical oceanography, and international food systems. Hobbies include reading, traveling, photography, cooking, running, and playing soccer.
