Bio

My life goal is to get a job in the medical field, more specifically, a pharmacist because growing up and even now I was always going to pharmacies to get medication as I always got I'll and even had to miss school for months as a child and I realized how important pharmacy technicians and pharmacists are; they careful provide medication that help people and I want to be able to help others the same way I was helped through all my sicknesses. I am determined to be the first person in my family to graduate from college, no matter how difficult it may be. I want to work hard to get a good career that I enjoy and can live without worrying too much about finances. I plan on going to ASU (Arizona State University) so I want to get scholarship money so that I won't have as much student debt, which would also help me put some extra money aside for investment and savings as I won't have to spend too much paying off student loans. I've always tried very hard in school and kept good grades and a high GPA and got a ACT score of 25 trying my best. Since elementary school, my parents have pushed me to work as hard as I can and maintain good grades so that I can go to college. They pushed me to study when I'm bored and be productive rather than sit around doing nothing and I've overcome many difficult times with my mental health and still tried my hardest with school. I've always been a hard worker and I always loved to help people out with anything.

Growing up, I would constantly get ill, I had to miss school often, and I would go to hospital a lot. There was a time when I was able 5-6 when I got diagnosed with bronchitis and had to get an X-ray for it and was required to stay home. Eventually the bronchitis worsened and I was then diagnosed with Mycoplasma pneumonia and I had to miss months of school so that I could get better. Getting pneumonia was a fairly common thing for me as a child but most of the time it never got that bad. After I got better and went to school, it felt strange having to miss so many days all because of an illness. While I was sick with Mycoplasma pneumonia, I wasn't allowed to do anything, all I could do was sit and lay down at home, usually on the couch so that I could watch tv shows, ironically enough it was usually Doc McStuffins, a kids medical show. There was a few times I'd get fevers during my months of illness in which my mom would take very good care of me, forcing me to drink a lot of water, making me eat, and putting cold towels on my forehead and her efforts helped to bring down my fevers. Because my dad was actively serving in the military at that time, we were able to go to the hospitals on base, which was a lot cheaper so getting x rays weren't too expensive. I never had a problem with getting X-rays as I thought it was quite fun. Going into a dimly lit room, wearing a hospital gown, and seeing the strange lights emiting from the machines. After that, it was a decent wait until we got the results of what was wrong which then turned out to be Mycoplasma pneumonia. I realized that without the x-ray, I could have been diagnosed with something less serious and could be given wrong medication which could leave to my condition getting worse and worse so it really helped me realize how important x rays really are. It helps diagnose more precisely and helps others know what's wrong by visually seeing the problem. This is why I want to become a radiologist because I think it's important to have X-rays so that everyone can know what's wrong and be given the right and proper treatment for it. I spent months at home because of an illness that was found by doing an X-ray when without it, it could have possibly gone a different and worse route.
