Life is a race, and I race towards the finish line. This line may be happiness for some, or it may be success for others. To me, the finish line is being best. Everyday I follow that passion to be greater; no matter how mundane the task, I perform to the best of my abilities. If my skills aren’t good enough, then I grow them to exceed my expectations. This burning passion has allowed me to succeed in many areas in my life; the most instrumental being FFA. If I hadn’t seen where I could improve my chapter, I would have never become an FFA Officer. If I had never challenged myself to be better than others thought I could be, then my team and I would not have won the State in the entomology CDE. Had that spark of passion never caught flame in my heart, I would not be striving for a Ph.D in entomological research. My flame cannot be scorched; it burns brighter each day.
