I hope to be a leader and fight for social change in my future artistic profession. As Co-President of the Student Council, I have the opportunity to organize community bonding events and further promote school spirit. I also work closely with the administration to improve the school. I am the Co-Leader of the Feminist Union (FemU) at my high school, where I lead intense but meaningful dialogue and personal discussions. This is something I plan to pursue in the future. I’ve also stepped outside my school community and entered an important space of intercultural understanding as a part of a social justice program at my school. Through this cohort, I interned at the organization MISSSEY Inc. where I worked with human trafficking survivors. I learned to listen to the voices of those who have been failed by institutions that should be helping them. I'm also an artist. Drawing and Painting specifically have given me the ability to express myself and learn more about the world from new perspectives. I look forward to exploring these core values of activism, leadership roles, and art in the future.
