I have chosen to pursue cosmetology because ever since I was like 8 years old, I have loved doing hair and makeup, but more hair than makeup. The first time I dyed my hair, it was so therapeutic, and I loved it. My hair was blue, and I got so many good comments on it, and I would love to make other people feel really good about their selves and have them get good comments on their hair. i'm now 16 and my little sister loves when i do her hair, i cut her hair about 2 years ago now and she loved it and now she lets me practice braiding her hair which i suck at french braiding but im really god at regular braids and she gets those done in her hair all the time. I also straighten and curl my moms hair for her and her hair is really long and also about 3 years ag my aunt on my moms side let me dye her hair red which is her favorite clor and now she gets it dyed tht color all the time. so i feel like if i can make myself and other people in my family and some of my friends feel good about their selves and love their selves more, then i most definitely need to make other people feel god about themselves by getting their hair done by me. and also i want to show my mom that cosmetology is a good money making job and that people in that industry make alot of money, i found out that they make alt of money by my moms hairstylist one day she told me that she makes 400 a day and her mother makes 900 a day or even more and in my brain and the math i did in my head at that ime told me that i wouldnt struggle having money if i got this type of job. Why i need this scholarship is because my family isnt wealthy in money so they dont have the type of money for school or college so i need as much money i can get even if it takes me the rest of my time in high school, which is would suck if i graduated and had to get big amounts of student loans and have to pay them off for years or probably never which i dont wanna do especially if i would have to pay for rent and car bills and gas and other house bills and for groceries which would suck . I would be thrilled to have scholarship money for college and for my favorite thing to do. Thank you for reading my application.
