I will start this application off with where I grew up. I grew up in Placerville, California it's this small town in between Tahoe and Sacramento. I grew up in a family that understood working for what you want in life is the only way you are going to get it. I played a lot of sports growing up starting with soccer I was 6 years old. I really enjoyed playing soccer so I looked into more sports. I then played tackle football for almost 8 years after that and I threw in baseball that same year. I then moved out to Belgrade, Montana the summer after my 8th grade year. I got here and played soccer for my freshman and junior year. I also ended up playing basketball for both my freshman and sophomore year.
A really big hobby of mine is working on vehicles. I just bought a 89 Chevy K1500 as a project vehicle. I want to put some money and work into it. Working on cars is something that I find interesting and something I think is important to know. You learn a lot of things when working on cars or trucks you learn how certain things move with each other to make the whole thing work together. But it's also good to know what sounds your car makes and what part corresponding parts are with it.
I have a job that I work at everyday after my 5/6th period class because I got honors for my 7th period so I can go there for longer. I work at Gallatin motor Subaru in Bozeman, Montana. I work there on Saturdays all day and work on my truck in my free time. While still in school for welding I do plan on continuing to stay at Subaru and start working full-time. I also have another job at Bar 3 BBQ as both a host and expo. I work this on Sundays when it's needed.
During my junior year of highschool I did both Welding I and II and I had a great time doing it. Once I got in that class something in me just clicked I understood this was something I wanted to do as a career. My plans after high school are to go to Gallatin Community College for welding for at least a year to get my certificate. I am also pursuing a certificate in mechanical engineering from my job. After getting my certificate I planned on either looking into some jobs that include fabrication/welding to get some work experience.
