Healthy Living Scholarship
A healthy life style is important because over the year I have realized how different i felt once I decided to lose some weight. When I was in middle school, I use to eat alot of junk foods and gained weight. My weight affected me alot when it came to doing physical activities and my self esteem. I will complain every time I looked at myself in the mirror, but I would not try to do anything to change it. Once I was in high school, I was sick and tired of feeling terrible about my weight and not actively trying to do something to change it. The first thing I decided to do on my journey to lose weight was stop drinking sodas. It was really hard at first but, It was not worth my health and me feeling terrible about myself every day. The more I stayed away from soda the more I realized how actually disgusting and bad for my health the food that I was consuming were. The sooner I realized that, the more junk foods I started taking out of my diet. After stopping drinking sodas, instantly saw how much weight I lost before even going to the gym. I went from 170 to 160 in a month. After stoping the junk foods I dropped another ten pounds. Now, I am working out daily in order to maintain my weight loss and sculpt my body.
