Hello! I'm Audrey, a college student seeking an interdisciplinary education in Architecture and International Studies. As a dual citizen of Lithuania and the U.S., I've spent my life immersed in local communities of different social and cultural perspectives, which has fueled my desire to learn more about people different from myself. First and foremost, I've always been motivated by curiosity. All of my different passions--the beauty and structure of music, foreign languages, the art and architectural traditions of other places-- have been motivated by my intense desire to understand the unfamiliar. I believe that the discovery of new interests and goals is one of the most beautiful and personally impactful parts of gaining an education, which is why attending university is so important to me. In my career, I hope to help others satisfy the cross-cultural curiosity which has driven me, by using an internationally-inspired and culturally rich education to advance the field of architecture. I aspire towards a career in architecture or urban design in which I can make use of the unique perspectives I’ll gain by studying the diverse practices and designs of world cultures. As a byproduct of my future path, I want to participate in the global exchange of ideas that progresses cultural awareness in the pursuit of sustainable urban development.
