Bio

A little bit about me; I live on a small farm in Pennsylvania with my grandmother, mom, dad, and two younger siblings. My family is truly the most important thing in my life. I love animals especially cats, horses, and bunnies (I have all three). I think giving back to your community is so important as well as volunteering which I do as much as I can. I work all year around at Starbucks and I love my job! I would love for you to consider me for your scholarship because I put 100% effort and dedication into my schoolwork and it would truly be an honor for you to consider me.

My father, Tyler Zoellner, stands as an example to incredible strength and resilience. Despite enduring the overwhelming losses of his parents, he has demonstrated remarkable qualities that make him an inspiring role model to me, my brother, and sister. This story not only shows his personal journey but also the values of kindness, humor, and courage that define him as a whole. At the age of 27 my father was confronted with the heart-wrenching tragedy of his father's suicide. This initial blow to his family was followed by the devastating loss of his mother in a tragic car accident just 11 years later when he was 38 years old. Such a series of losses would easily shatter anyone else's spirit, leaving them disheartened and demotivated. However, my father defied these odds spectacularly, proving that strength can emerge from even the darkest moments. In the face of adversity, my father's character truly shines. He exemplifies kindness in its purest form, extending his helping hand to anyone in need. His generosity knows no bounds – he's not only willing to give his own possessions but invests his time and energy to uplift those around him. His dedication to being a teacher and teaching math in an underprivileged school district showcases his commitment to making a positive impact, ensuring that young minds have access to quality education and equal opportunities. Furthermore, my father's humor is truly a staple that everyone he knows loves. His ability to provide laughter in challenging situations speaks volumes about his resilience. Above all, my father's courage and ability to bounce back from life's hardships are truly admirable. The lessons he imparts about never giving up and seeking the silver lining in any situation have shaped my perspective on life. His resilience has taught me that challenges are tough but needed to grow and that our outlook greatly shapes our ability to overcome or not overcome obstacles. Through his actions, my father has shown me that placing others' needs before our own is extremely important. His selflessness has left a lasting impact on my family and people that have the chance to meet him. He's not just a father; he's my best friend, my mentor, and an embodiment of strength. In conclusion, my dad, Tyler Zoellner, has navigated through life with unwavering strength, kindness, and an infectious sense of humor. Being able to call him my dad is truly the biggest honor and better than any award I have ever received.
