Hello, my name is Aubree. I'm 18 years old, and I am going to be a college freshman soon. I have English, German, Irish, Cherokee, Blackfeet, Iroquois, and Cheyenne descent. I am well known for my '80s content on TikTok and Instagram. I was diagnosed with autism and ADHD when I was little at the Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh. I am going to pursue a Marketing bachelor's degree with a Fine Arts Minor at Saint Francis University. I am planning to make my first album, buy instruments from the '80s, sing in different performances, and create a brand soon.
As of right now, many of my essays written for scholarships were from when I was still in Central High School. A lot of my essays were also done while I was in Central PA Digital Learning Foundation.
I am a salutatorian of the CPDLF Class of '25.

I grew up with a toxic mom and a perfectly fine dad, who both did not graduate from college. My mom did not graduate college because she did not graduate high school, and my dad did not graduate college because he had to drop out and take care of me after I was involved in toxic situations with my mom.
My dad also suffered from being low-income because an event happened that changed our life. My mom called the social security office and convince them that my dad is evil and not taking care of himself. In fact, my dad was the opposite, and my mom lied because she wanted to get drugs. After that, my dad became a rep payee instead of a regular payee for social security; he was only allowed to pay with checks until I am an adult.
Because of that, I wanted to be successful, rich, and happy with my careers I am going to occupy in the future. Being a first-generation college student influence my career goals because I wanted to influence others that being poor and first-generation makes them special. As a songwriter, I wanted to write songs that are about my past life struggles and dreams; I want to promote my songs by making music videos that convinces every first-generation student to try and achieve their dreams to become successful. Even if it takes long for them to be successful, I want to be an activist for people who are struggling with being raised poorly and low-income.
Big Picture Scholarship
Oliver & Company, a 1988 Disney animated movie, changed my life a lot. In August 2024, I went to the Mahoning Drive Inn in Leighton, PA to see the 35mm screenings of The Little Mermaid and Aladdin. I saw an Oliver & Company poster inside the Mahoning Drive Inn building. I wanted a picture of me behind it, so my dad took a picture of me with his phone. Then, I looked through the VHS tapes at the merchandise shop. I found the Walt Disney Masterpiece collection VHS tape of Oliver & Company, but I did not get it because I have not seen it yet, but it was really cool. Later on, in the evening, I saw the 35mm trailer of Oliver & Company. After the event, I was planning to watch Oliver & Company someday.
Finally, at the end of August, I watched Oliver & Company on Disney+ with my 5.1 surround sound system at my previous home. It influenced the way I wanted to be as a person in my lifetime. I loved the absolutely authentic, nostalgic, and fun songs in the movie, especially "Once Upon a Time in New York City" by Huey Lewis, "Why Should I Worry?" by Billy Joel as Dodger, and "Perfect Isn't Easy" by Bette Midler as Georgette. I also loved the characters, especially Dodger, Georgette, Rita, and Jenny, and the Xerox animation that reminds me of the One Hundred and One Dalmatians movie from 1961. Everything about the movie just made me so happy, and as a result, I started to learn the songs, starting with "Why Should I Worry?". I would keep playing the movie clip of "Why Should I Worry?" on YouTube over and over again.
Over time, I contributed a lot to the Wikipedia page on Oliver & Company with reliable sources and adding free images, and I officially wanted to wear '80s fashion and live a 1980s life with modern twists. Thanks to this movie, I am comfortable with who I am as a person. I tried to be famous many times, but its luck came when my TikTok video that is all about me rating my '80s hair attempts went viral last year during Christmas break. It reached to over 5.2 million views and over 500 thousand likes. Now, I am planning to be an Oliver & Company collector, a social media personality, a singer, a songwriter, and an actress. I am going to graduate high school and go to college to pursue a bachelor's degree on Marketing with a minor degree in Fine Arts. I also own an orange tabby cat who looks exactly like Oliver, but instead, she is a girl named Penny. I want to thank this movie for influencing my future on what I wanted to be with my fashion style and lifetime. The movie means to me a lot.

I am planning to make a positive impact on the world through music. I wanted to be a role model and an entertainer to give the most high quality music possible for a mature audience, a younger audience, etc. I want to do vocal lessons with a professional vocal teacher or coach to improve my singing, especially whenever I am performing in concerts, festivals, sports games, etc. I also can write songs and sing on how they should performed vocally before drafting the music production and finalize by mixing, mastering, and engineering.
I am going to Saint Francis University to pursue a Bachelor's Degree on Marketing to prepare any of my marketing skills and see if I can have music opportunities to perform in talent shows, concerts, musicals, etc. I am planning to create my first album very soon. I want this album to have an aesthetic full of colors, be an '80s album, and include songs that are written by me and not be generated with AI. I want to show that I am a true singer and music artist, and I want to ensure everything in my music is pleasant and authentic.

When I was a child, I would watch a Nickelodeon cartoon called The Backyardigans. I loved watching their stories, listening to their music, and watching them dance. It was one of my favorite TV shows to watch. Throughout the years, I would start exploring music by listening to a lot of songs on radio, listening to Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Kelly Clarkson, etc. At around 7 years old, there was an album that would change my life forever. It was called Pure '80s, and I loved the songs on it, especially "Video Killed the Radio Star", "Hold Me Now", "Everybody Wants to Rule the World", and "Come On Eileen".
At eight years old, I became a Swiftie after discovering that "Blank Space" was sung by her at my mom's car. I had previously listened to her self-titled debut album at my grandma's old house. My obsession with her also changed my life. My knowledge of music grew over the years, with the exposures of Michael Jackson, Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, Heart, Pat Benatar, Joan Jett, and more. By the time I listened to Taylor Swift's album 1989 several times at my dad's old car, I started to vividly imagine cartoon characters singing the songs as music videos. However, something big impacted my plans of the future. When I was in fourth grade, my friend said that she wanted to be a singer when she grows up during my lunch period. This experience impacted my life. I originally wanted to be a fashion designer before wanting to become a singer.
Music has been a journey for me with my own skills and goals. Throughout the years, I started to express myself, which made me teach myself how to create music. I started creating my own music by writing songs that literally do not make sense, as well as recording videos of me performing and singing a couple of them with a Barbie toy guitar. In 2017, I wrote and created the theme song and a couple soundtrack pieces on a program called Soundtrap for a fan-made creation called Sweet Sugar Soldiers. After I graduated fifth grade in 2018, I attempted to create an album called Sunburned or Sunburn. I would create a song called "Hot Love" on Soundtrap. I added tracks to create music, and I recorded the vocals with a cheap microphone. Over the years, I would attempt to write albums, such as The Dark Side, Electric, self-titled, etc. I also wrote over 250 songs in the past.
Now that I am almost graduating high school, I am going to attend Saint Francis University to pursue a bachelor's degree on Marketing with a Minor in Fine Arts soon. After I am finished studying marketing and music, I am planning to take vocal lessons, sign a record label, create my own production studio, and make my first album. For my first album, I am currently going back to my childhood roots and planning to create pop and rock songs that sound like the 1980s and early 1990s.

There were many adversities I overcame in my life as a first-generation college student with a low financial income. When my dad was 18, my dad did not graduate because he was mistaken as one of his friends, who had the same first name as him, to be on a drug program on the same exact date and time. My dad accidentally mixed it up, and he was kicked out of the high school. The principal that did it was a cop and has kicked lots of men that school year. Bereaved and gloomy underneath the clouds, my dad decided to get a GED degree. My dad had a few girlfriends, but he met my mom in 2005 at a Burger King. It was a beautiful and ecstatic experience for him. Then, I was born on April 25, 2007.
However, it was not without its troubles. My mom was in high school when she met my dad, but the age gap between my parents is nearly 11 years, which is wild. When my mom met the worse guy in the planet and developed a relationship with him, she started developing strange and rotten behavioral problems. She started to not take her own medicine, and she was accused of a crime that he made, but because she was being like Pinocchio in high school, she did not graduate and never went to college. That happened because shortly, my dad caught them in the apartment doing something atrocious. He was so mad that he just had to leave and go back home.
Throughout time, it gets worse and worse and worse like it's becoming a thriller-drama movie. My dad started going to college in 2008, but I had speech problems and restricted interests because I was diagnosed with autism and ADHD. Because of that, my mom would always take care of me so I can drink, go potty, eat, and sleep. But.... it's not without the chaotic mess she made to her relationship history. There were always problems with her. She would fight with her partners, abuse them, and other bad things like stranding me and my relatives at my grandmother's house. My dad always worried about me at the time, so he would pick me up when he needed to, which is why he failed at college at least once. My dad would later drop out of college because it was getting too much.
After that, my dad would start to teach me to speak and walk because I had problems. He would teach me animal words, hire a speech teacher to help me with speech at school, educate me on what's right and wrong, and a lot of different scenarios. Over the years, my dad would always buy me new clothes, new toys, new DVDs, and others. However, something changed. One year, my dad became a rep payee in social security because my mom ruined the entire thing by telling social security to change his status from being a regular payee to a rep payee in social security so she can buy drugs. My dad was so mad when he heard about it. Then, after we started moving everywhere until we found a new safe home, we were all getting poor and having financial struggles after not being on housing anymore. Now, I am determined to become rich after I become an adult, and in my life, my experiences and obstacles help me become a strong personality I wanted to be. I am free and strong!

As a singer-songwriter, I wrote a song back in 2022 called "Blueberry Pie". At the time, I was influenced by The Simpsons, which was my favorite show at the time. I originally wrote this song on my notebook before I transferred it to a Google Doc. It's a really funny, dreamy, poetic song about love, describing the traits and appearance with ingredients and toppings of blueberry pie. It is a very magical song, and I think you'll love it!

I am passionate about music because it is an expression of creativity to live for a golden lifetime. I am autistic, and I love to sing, dance, write songs, and imagine what my songs would sound like. As someone who grew up with music, I want to be a singer, songwriter, actress, and producer. Outside of that, I also want to be a model, a marketer, and a video editor. My goal is to be a successful and positive role model in the acting and music industry fields.
The first thing I'm going to do is to move from Central High School to Central PA's Digital Learning Foundation. My dad and I have been suffering from pollution because everyone is burning their garbage, and we've been coughing and losing our voices a lot. I am also moving because I am scared that the boys are going to harass me again. While I am in the virtual school, the next thing is to renovate my new look to look like I'm from the 1980s. I am going to buy a lot of clothes and hairspray on Ebay and Walmart. I am going to be a social media influencer on Instagram.
After graduation, I am planning to own two houses in Pennsylvania. Then, I have two plans. First, I am going to Saint Francis University to pursue a bachelor's degree in Marketing or Communications with a Minor in Fine Arts to gain more experience on acting, singing, and using communications or marketing skills to become a successful singer. And secondly, I can go to Saint Francis University during the first year of college. Then, I can later transfer my credits to the University of Pittsburgh's main campus while pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Musical Theater to both experience a little bit of the skills I learned at Saint Francis and gain my acting and singing experiences in the University of Pittsburgh.
While I'm in both high school and college, I am going to develop and create my first album by writing new songs, buying instruments, and creating a tracklist that is going to be planned. I am also planning to create my own music studio with the instruments, Pro Tools, a professional studio microphone, an amplifier, and maybe a mix tape, which is used for music production. I will probably make demos and showcase my talent on social media. Then, I should be signed by a music label for a contract and let the label publish and control the rights to my first album. Finally, I will record my first album and finish the production, schedule promotions, market my album, and embark or headline a tour to perform. During my career, I am also going to act and be involved with music videos as well.
As someone who dreamed big, I am dreaming to be ambitious. My goal is to become successful, determined, intelligent, and creative in the acting and music fields. I am hoping God that I am blessed to be known as a celebrity who is more educated and successful than anyone else. If I am going to be in the career I am in, I am going to work hard with heart and joy.

For my future plans, I am currently planning to either attend Saint Francis University to pursue a Marketing BA degree with a Fine Arts Minor or Indiana University of Pennsylvania to pursue a Musical Theatre BFA degree, then transfer to the University of Pittsburgh if possible.
Being autistic is a challenge. I was unique to most people because I had different interests, like retro music, singing everyday, and writing songs. But mainly, restrictive interests made me a different person. At times, I even had to push myself. When I had Vocal Performance classes for the first two years of high school, I had to memorize lyrics and music, figure out the diction of the words, and express myself with emotions based on each song category and the songs I'm singing about. I was criticized by the audience and recommended what I need to improve. This was a challenge, but I am glad I improved by finally gaining the skills I needed to push myself and become the best version of myself. I applied these skills to the songs I sang in the musicals, and they're important.
My goal is to stand out as an autistic person who has talent, advocacy, improvement, and success. I am looking forward to become a positive role model and help people with disabilities to be influenced. I am hoping to make my first album spectacular in the future, especially that I am planning to return the '80s music back to life and bring out the best quality of music production, compositions, vocals, and songwriting. Along with music, I am also hoping to finally become an actress, whether it is a live-action or an animated performance. As always, autistic people deserve to reach goals, and I'm glad to be one of them.

Along with music, I am also hoping to finally become an actress, whether it is a live-action or an animated performance. As always, autistic people deserve to reach goals, and I'm glad to be one of them.

Sunni E. Fagan Memorial Music Scholarship
I am passionate about music because it is an expression of creativity to live for a golden lifetime. I am autistic, and I love to sing, dance, write songs, and imagine what my songs would sound like.
I started creating my own music by writing songs that literally do not make sense, as well as recording videos of me performing and singing a couple of them with a Barbie toy guitar. In 2017, I wrote and created the theme song and a couple soundtrack pieces on a program called Soundtrap for a fanmade creation called Sweet Sugar Soldiers. After I graduated fifth grade, I attempted to create an album called Sunburned or Sunburn. I would create a song called "Hot Love" on a program called Soundtrap. I added tracks to create music, and I recorded the vocals with a cheap microphone. My dad would then take photo sessions of me in two different places. I would later create the song list, the album cover, and the back cover.
Over the years, I would attempt to write albums, such as The Dark Side, Electric, self-titled, etc. I also wrote over 250 songs in the pas. I used to post songs on Instagram, but I had to remove them and not post them anymore because of an experience that made me uncontrollably cry. Now that I am almost graduating high school, I am planning to attend either college or Los Angeles Film School to expand my portfolio. I am also planning to take vocal lessons, sign a record label, create my own production studio, and make my first album. For my first album, I am currently going back to my childhood roots and planning to create pop and rock songs that sound like the '80s and early '90s. I am also going back to my passion of '80s fashion in my early teens by planning to tease my big, thick hair and dress up in t-shirts, acid-washed jeans, shoulder pads, power dresses, hi-top sneakers, and high heels.

During November 2022, me and my dad were moving to a different apartment of the same building. My dad would bring a lot of furniture, entertainment, items, mattresses, and many more upstairs to place them where they were going to be at the time. Although my mom had threatened my dad to take her somewhere and called the cops to come to our older home, my dad was too busy to pick her up because we were all moving. After the bad messages my mom would send to my dad, my mom would send the last text message to my dad before she passed away, stating that she loves me and my dad. Me and my dad never knew what was going to happen to her.
On November 21, 2022, my life changed forever. According to her death certificate, my mom died of freezing at a farm early in the morning. After she died, I had a normal high school day. When the school van was about to drop me off, my dad told me that we're "gonna have a family meeting." I was hoping that I did not cause trouble, but my dad said that I am not in trouble. He then said that we "will discuss when we come into our home." We walked from the door to the living room, and I sat on the floor across the blue couch where my dad was sitting. My dad then informed me that my mom "has died." My feelings were about to turn blue while I was in total shock, just staring at my dad and asking "What happened? How did you know?" My dad answered that my grandmother "called him that she was found lying down at a farm by the wife of my uncle, Zack." He explained that he "could not believe it at first, then he started sobbing about my mother before I came back from school." My mom was only 34 years old at the time of her death.
It was one of the saddest days of my life. My memories started popping up in my head, thinking about the fun we had, the wild laughter my mom had, and the beauty of my mom. This experience shaped my life in such a distinctive way my life had never been. Because of her death, I had to take only the next day off from school because it was already almost Thanksgiving break at the time. After my mom's death, my mom's side of my family, including my grandmother Regina, my younger siblings Miley and Alyssa, my aunts Tara and Ashley, my uncle Zack, and a lot of my cousins were affected by her death. They either felt devastated about her death or mourn as much as they could with lots of tears and redness in their eyes.
My mom's legacy lived on with a private memorial service at a church on November 26. Most of my mom's immediate family was there, including my younger siblings, my great grandmother, lots of cousins, my grandfather that I never knew at the time, and more. Inside, there were a lot of posters filled with photos of my mother when she was a child, a teenager, and an adult that my family kept over the years. During the service, we said the last words to her on stage, and mourned to a beautiful song as we were sitting. Looking back, my mom's death changed my life forever, and it not only gave me suffering, but also depression. Her death will be remembered in the name of God.

I was raised by a father who has worked hard trying to raise me and stay away from my mom's chaos. My father came from a poor family. His mother was a good cook and worked at several jobs, while his father is a Republican, smoking a lot of cigarettes. When my dad grew up in the 1990s, he did not graduate high school, but he got a GED degree. He later met my mom in around 2005, and planned to have a child. However, my mom developed histrionic personality disorder, and both my mom and my dad broke up together.
Being raised by a single parent was a challenge. I was diagnosed with autism and ADHD when I was 3 or 4 years old. When I was a little child, I could walk, but then stop for some reason. I talked gibberish for a long time. My dad had to raise me as a single parent because my mom was chaotic, being with the wrong boyfriends, fighting with people, taking people to strange places, and being inappropriate and dramatic. I went through many challenges over the years. My dad taught me how to talk with an easel, make me walk again, and raised me with a colorful childhood. I had to listen to my dad and make sure I have good manners to be positive. My teachers also helped me with learning and emotional support as well.
I am planning to use this life experience as an influence to stay strong when you're coming from a single-parent household. I want to write songs about my past experiences and create music videos to show that I care about people, and I wanna buy donations to encourage people to be blessed with survival and help from others.
1989 (Taylor's Version) Fan Scholarship
1989 was an album that influenced me to become a Swiftie. The first time I knew Taylor Swift was when I discovered her self-titled album in my grandma’s old house, but I never knew that “Blank Space”, “Shake It Off”, and “Style” that kept playing on radio were sung by Taylor Swift until I discovered that “Blank Space” was sung by Taylor Swift. I was shocked, and Taylor Swift became one of my favorite singers since circa 2015.
So what songs from 1989 (Taylor’s Version) were related to my experiences last year? There are two songs that are related to my experiences as a 16-year-old in 2023. "Welcome to New York (Taylor’s Version)" is the first song of the album that relates to my desire for freedom that year. In the first verse, Taylor sings, “Walkin' through a crowd, the village is aglow. Kaleidoscope of loud heartbeats under coats.” The opening lyrics relates to what it felt like to enter my new era of freedom. After I turned sweet sixteen, I finally started to express freedom with my new hair dye, fashion style, and taste of vibes and music. I was in a glowing village, feeling like I wanted to rock with my new makeover that started my creativity and inspiration. In the chorus of the song, Taylor sings “It's a new soundtrack, I could dance to this beat, beat forevermore. The lights are so bright, but they never blind me, me.” At sweet sixteen, a new soundtrack and bright lights are a few things that describe my freedom of my sense of self at the time. They proved that I can express myself in different ways, like writing songs, creating different looks, and talking about whatever I want in my life.
"Shake it Off (Taylor’s Version)" describes me when I am trying to stay away from haters. I was confident on who I am as a person. As a girl who was popular from singing and acting in high school, it felt like I’m a celebrity because I can be hated from my mood swings, burnouts, and things I would not normally state. However, being popular helped me become more confident to ignore the hate and make sure I am not embarrassed in several situations. The repeated lyrics throughout the song are “That's what people say, mm-mm. That's what people say, mm-mm.” These lyrics were my explanations of how my fans can try to involve me in a talk that I would feel miserable with. In the pre-chorus, Taylor belts “But I keep cruisin’. Can't stop, won't stop movin'. It's like I got this music in my mind. Sayin' it's gonna be alright!” They proved that I can still continue to move on even if people hate or embarrass me. My goal was to achieve my dreams and become successful in my career someday, so I usually ignored showing anything suspicious and my fans saying anything obnoxious and rude.
1989 was an album that brought back my childhood memories when I listened to the standard edition of the original album in my dad’s old car in early 2017. Although I did not expect my experiences in 2023 to be related to the songs of the album, my teenage spirit is proud of my childhood spirit for making it from a 9-year-old to a 16-year-old at the time. The two songs that I analyzed were deeply connected to my major life experiences in 2023, and I am proud to be a Swiftie expressing my freedom and passion of Taylor Swift.
