I am 18 years old. I aspire to be an Early Education teacher in a deaf school using American Sign Language. I also aspire to be a professional women soccer player. I currently play for the Guyana Women’s National team. I was diagnosed with type one diabetes and February 2010 at the age of 4. I was a participant in the 2013 JDRF Children's Congress, representing the state of North Carolina. I spoke with state and national government officials about it continuing and increasing research and funding for a cure of type one diabetes.
