Throughout my academic journey, I have actively looked for opportunities to deepen my understanding of the medical field. which cause me to learn a provided strong foundation in the sciences essential for medicine. I also went to my job caausingme to learn at local clinics and hospitals, gaining second-hand experience in patient interaction, understanding healthcare systems, and witnessing the profound impact of dedicated medical professionals. These experiences solidified my desire to become a physician and affirmed my commitment to lifelong learning and service. My interest in medicine is also fueled by the dynamic and constantly evolving nature of the field. I believe that medicine is not only about diagnosing and treating illnesses but also about promoting preventive health and advocating for health equity. This holistic approach resonates with my values and motivates me to contribute meaningfully to community health. As I plan my medical career, I am particularly interested in specializing in internal medicine. This specialty appeals to me because it encompasses a broad spectrum of adult health issues, requiring comprehensive knowledge, critical thinking, and a patient-centered approach. Internal medicine physicians often serve as primary care providers, managing complex, chronic conditions and coordinating care across specialties. I am drawn to the intellectual challenge of diagnosing intricate cases and the opportunity to build long-term relationships with patients, fostering trust and holistic well-being. To prepare myself for this next step, I have actively engaged in activities that enhance my skills and knowledge. I have shadowed physicians in internal medicine clinics, participated in research projects related to chronic disease management, and completed relevant coursework in pharmacology and pathophysiology. Additionally, I am developing strong communication and teamwork skills through leadership roles in student organizations and community service initiatives. One situation that stands out to me involving compassion happened with my friend Sareh during our sophomore year. Sareh had always been a kind and cheerful person, but one day early in the morning, she was acting differently. She was quiet and seemed upset, and I noticed she was avoiding her usual activities. Later that week, I found out that her mother had died. Sareh was feeling overwhelmed and sad because that was her support, and it was obvious on her face she was emotionally depressed. One afternoon after school, I saw her sitting alone at a pep rally, looking lost in thought. I approached her and asked if she wanted to talk. At first, she said no, but later on then she opened up about her sadness. She told me she felt helpless and didn’t know how to cope with everything happening to her family and boyfriend. Instead of trying to fix her problems, I just listened and offered my support. I told her I was there for her and that it was okay to feel overwhelmed. I also shared when I felt similar feelings and how talking about my feelings helped me feel better. Over the next few days, I made an effort to check in on her and spend time with her at school FaceTiming her , or just sitting quietly and talking. I also encouraged her to reach out to other friends and family for support. Seeing her slowly start to open up and accept help made me realize how important compassion is, especially during tough times. It was a reminder that sometimes, just being there and showing you care can make a huge difference in someone’s life. That experience affected me deeply. It made me realize how being kind and compassionate can be, especially when people are going through difficult situations. I learned that listening and being present can provide comfort in ways that words sometimes can’t. It also helped me understand that everyone faces struggles, and showing empathy can help others feel less alone. For me, it was a lesson in the importance of kindness and how small actions can have a big impact. Witnessing Sareh’s emotional journey and knowing I could support her made me more aware of the importance of compassion in everyday life. It taught me that sometimes, what people need most is just someone who cares enough to listen and be there. This experience has inspired me to always try to be kind and compassionate to others, especially during their hardest moments. It’s a reminder that even simple acts of kindness can make a lasting difference in someone’s life.

The personal achievement I am most proud of is overcoming the challenges I faced because of my IEP and proving to myself that I can succeed despite the obstacles. Growing up with an IEP meant that I needed extra school support, which sometimes made me feel different from my classmates. I struggled with reading, writing, and staying focused, and for a long time, I doubted whether I could reach my goals. But instead of letting these difficulties affect me, I decided to work hard and push through them. In middle school, I started to realize that I couldn’t just rely on the support I was given; I had to take control of my learning. I attended additional tutoring sessions and practiced my reading and writing skills every day. It wasn’t easy, and there were many times I felt frustrated or discouraged. The headaches I remember feeling like I wasn’t smart enough or that I would always be behind my peers. But I kept reminding myself that everyone learns at their own pace. I learned to ask for help when I needed it and to find new ways to understand the material, like using audiobooks or visual aids. Over time, I saw improvement, and that motivated me to keep going. This journey changed my pov on my abilities. I learned that having an IEP isn’t a weakness it’s a word that can help me succeed if I use it correctly. It also taught me confidence and persistence. I realized that their are opportunities to learn and grow. Achieving progress despite my challenges gave me a huge confidence boost and made me more determined to chase my dreams. This experience has also affected my future aspirations. I want to become a support and advocate for people with learning differences. I understand firsthand the struggles they face, and I want to help them see that their challenges don’t define their potential. Whether I become a teacher, counselor, or another kind of mentor, I want to make a positive impact on others who are working hard to overcome their difficulties. Most importantly, overcoming my IEP challenges has impacted my life by making me more self-aware and resilient. It taught me self-advocacy is essential for success. I am proud of how far I’ve come, and I believe this achievement has prepared me for future challenges college. It’s a reminder that with support and a positive attitude, I can accomplish anything I set my mind to. This journey has not only helped me improve academically but has also made me stronger emotionally, ready to face whatever comes next.
