    Elevate Mental Health Awareness Scholarship
Every part of life is impacted by mental health, and my own experience with it has had a significant impact on my values, interpersonal connections, and professional goals. I've gained a profound understanding of perseverance, empathy, and the vital necessity for understanding in our relationships and goals as a result of overcoming my own obstacles and helping others. When I was growing up, there wasn't much talk about mental health in my neighborhood. At first, like many others, I thought that resilience was the capacity to repress hardships, and strength was the capacity to remain silent. But as I struggled with anxiety in high school, I came to see that these ideas were not just incorrect, but also detrimental. I frequently felt exhausted and alone as a result of the intense pressure to perform well academically, engage in extracurricular activities, and be ready for a future I wasn't sure about. I didn't start to realize how important it is to recognize and treat mental health issues until I sought help via counseling. I learned from this experience that being vulnerable is a sign of progress and healing rather than a sign of weakness. My views on mental health have changed as a result of my trip. I now see it as an essential part of total wellbeing, on par with physical health. I've discovered that treating mental health is about fostering spaces where individuals feel comfortable sharing and asking for assistance, not about "fixing" someone. My empathy has also grown as a result of this change of viewpoint. I've realized that everyone faces invisible challenges, and that empathy may heal divisions and create real relationships. My relationships have been greatly impacted by this increased sensitivity. Whether it's a family member who needs someone to listen or a friend going through a difficult moment, I've grown more sensitive to their emotional needs. My connection with my younger sister is among the most significant ones impacted by this development. By using my personal experiences and pushing them to get treatment, I was able to support them during a very trying moment in their lives. This deepened our connection and emphasized how crucial candid communication and reciprocal support are in partnerships. My professional goals have also been influenced by my experience with mental health. At first look, this could seem like an unexpected relationship for someone studying accounting. But my values—resilience, empathy, and a dedication to creating pleasant environments—align with my career objectives. Although accounting is sometimes perceived as a field focused on numbers, it really has a strong foundation in problem-solving, teamwork, and trust. Given that a person's performance is directly related to their emotional and mental health, I hope to establish workplaces that place a high priority on mental health. I want to make sure that my profession represents these principles, whether that is by promoting mental health services, creating inclusive workplaces, or just exercising compassion in my leadership. In addition, my experiences have stoked my enthusiasm for activism. I've taken part in seminars and campaigns to raise awareness of mental health issues in an effort to reduce the stigma that frequently accompanies the subject. These encounters have demonstrated to me the ability of discourse and education to change viewpoints. I've also discovered that even seemingly insignificant things, like asking how a coworker is doing or bringing up the subject of mental health, may make a big difference. When I think back on this trip, I'm thankful for the difficulties I've encountered and the development they've spurred. I've learned the worth of resilience, the strength of empathy, and the significance of fostering supportive surroundings from my experiences with mental health. These teachings still influence my views, strengthen my bonds with others, and direct my professional goals. I'm determined to keep these realizations alive, both professionally and as a person who is committed to improving the lives of others.

But with the help of counseling and introspection, I was able to control my fear and see it as a chance for development rather than a constraint. My objectives have been greatly influenced by this change of viewpoint. This insight motivated me to pursue a degree in accounting, a discipline that will enable me to help people and companies deal with the challenges of money management. My perspective on the world has also expanded as a result of my experience with mental health. I've learned that while problems are common, so are resiliency and development potential. I now recognize the value of advocating for mental health and the necessity of de-stigmatizing discussions regarding emotional wellness. People suffer in silence far too frequently out of fear of being misunderstood or judged. I want to assist create a societal change that normalizes asking for help and placing a high priority on mental health by sharing my experience and encouraging candid conversation. In my opinion, we promote a more sympathetic and inclusive society when we provide areas where individuals feel free to share their difficulties. Setting boundaries and taking care of oneself are two of the most important things I've learnt. I've had to be deliberate about how I spend my time and energy in order to manage my mental health, making sure that I give priority to pursuits and connections that make me happy and fulfilled. In addition to enhancing my wellbeing, this practice has given me the ability to completely present myself to others. It serves as a reminder that caring for oneself is not selfish; rather, it is essential to continuing to make significant contributions to society. Ultimately, I have a strong sense of purpose as a result of my experience with mental health. Through my career and personal connections, I hope to empower people by applying the lessons I've learned. In addition to assisting people in achieving financial security, I'm dedicated to making a difference by promoting an understanding and compassionate society. I want to show that obstacles can be a source of strength and change by accepting my experience and utilizing it as a springboard for personal development. To sum up, my experience with mental health has greatly influenced who I am now. It has shaped my objectives, strengthened my bonds with others, and broadened my perspective on the world. Even while it hasn't been easy, the experience has taught me a lot about empathy, resilience, and the strength of vulnerability. I am appreciative of the development it has given me and eager to apply these teachings to significantly impact other people's life.

    Team USA Fan Scholarship
There are a number of outstanding athletes in Team USA that are all very good at what they do. But Simone Biles is my favorite athlete to support. In addition to revolutionizing gymnastics, Biles, one of the best gymnasts of all time, has come to represent strength, tenacity, and resolve. I've been really impressed by her path both on and off the mat, and it's clear why she has gained popularity among sports fans worldwide. My interest in Simone Biles was initially piqued by her outstanding exploits during the 2016 Rio Olympics, when she took home four gold and one bronze. But what really struck me was not only her technical proficiency or her ability to do challenging routines with accuracy, but also her extraordinary composure and self-assurance under duress. I could feel the commitment and effort she had put into her trade as I watched her perform. She was evidently not only an exceptional athlete but also a role model who possessed a unique blend of strength and humility. Simone's capacity to overcome hardship is what really makes her stand out from other competitors. Simone has persisted in moving forward in spite of pressure and criticism, constantly aiming to improve and motivate others in the process. She made a strong statement that mental health is equally as vital as physical health and that it's acceptable to take a break when necessary by withdrawing from a number of activities. This incident struck a chord with me because it displayed a boldness and self-awareness that many individuals, particularly athletes, find difficult to exhibit. In addition to being brave, Simone's choice served as a crucial reminder that regardless of how successful we may appear on the outside, we all have boundaries and that it's critical to take care of our mental health. Her tenacity in the gym and in life has elevated her to a status that goes beyond athletics, exemplifying the traits of willpower, bravery, and self-determination that we can all aspire to. In conclusion, due of her unmatched talent, her capacity to overcome hardship, and her commitment to advancing social justice and mental health, Simone Biles is my favorite athlete to support on Team USA. In addition to redefining gymnastics, she has inspired change and encouraged people to be true to themselves by using her platform. More than just seeing physical prowess, watching Simone perform is a chance to see a real role model who encourages greatness in both life and athletics.
