Hi, my name is Ashley and I am an incoming college freshman with a passion for STEAM (Art + STEM)! Entering college, I intend to continue my pursuits in STEAM by majoring in Computer Science and Biomedical Engineering while engaging in extracurricular activities and projects concerning visual, interactive, and musical artwork. By studying CS and BME, I hope to learn how to engineer technology on the nano and macro scale that improves the health and entertainment experiences of all people. I have a long-term goal to enhance K-12 public education, entertainment, and healthcare through innovation in extended reality technologies and brain-machine interfaces. I champion increased female representation in STEM fields and the integration of artistic humanities with such as it heightens innovative capacity. Along with working to encourage underrepresented groups to pursue STEM, I'm an advocate of veganism and the fight against animal cruelty. As a self-motivated, persevering student who handled AP Biology, AP Literature, Civics and Economics Honors, AP Physics C: Mechanics, Textile Production Honors, Calculus I, Calculus II, College-Level Linear Algebra, College-Level Engineering Graphics, and AP 3D Studio Art within my senior year, I aim to continue my hard work in college to create better opportunities for other students and professionals through synergetic research that leads to comprehensive, free applications for XR project development regardless of a student, teacher, or professional's skillset in regard to 3-D design and programming.
